My 4 month old fisher Paykel washer seems to leak in the spin cycle..this just started about a month ago. The repair man was out and said the cause was : not using HE laundry soap. After using the HE soap, leak is still there... Call into repairman to return.. any ideas of what it might be ??

hi there,
the leak underneath could be from the pump or the drain hose. some washers have a tub to pump boot that sometimes springs a leak.
for a 4-month-old washer, i would certainly hope you pay nothing. F&P appliances come with at least a 2 year warranty. check your user & care guide for warranty information.

Update: Repairman back out.. said it was the top of the bucket leaking and he will order part and return... When he returned he replaced the diverter valve and pump... No more leak !!!
hummmm .. he must have talked to someone that knew what they were doing...
My Fisher and Paykel washer just started to leak during the spin cycle too. It is leaking from the top (may be the top bucket leak the prior post referred to).
My Fisher Paykel ecosmart washer just started showing these same conditions. it appears that water is coming out of the top of the lid as i've found the area around the lid to be wet as well as water on the outside of the washer near the front corner. where is this diverter valve that is mentioned and where can you purchase one?
Washer Is leaking from the top and I have called several appliance centers No One Wanting to fix this Product..In My Area
