Clean and resolder all four round inductors, check the caps, replace them if they have bulging tops (even slightly bulg). Check the transistors (c5707) for shorts. See pictures here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/HP%20F1703/

try another monitor i re placed my cord and the graphics card and it didn't do me any good i replaced the monitor last and it works fine now. and my speakers pluged into the monitor the monitor i bought didn't have the port for speakers so now i need to get usb speakers so check it out. hope this helps

I assume you meant the driver for your monitor (above) check the operating system (win XP or vista)

It sounds like you need to use your "DeGausse" button to reset the magnetics in the screen.
