If this is a regular CRT tv or a tube TV, seems to me an axed Horizontal Output Transistor. Its commonly the one that makes the high pitch whine on CRT tv. Some other are the SMPS transformer.

Too summarize you could be either have a short/fault on high voltage section or power supply side circuitry.

Hope it helps.

Ur high voltage is dead, the FBT,the flyback transformer is dead. The big block plastic with a red wire with a cap that hook to the CRT(tv tube). That thing have a piece 5' steel like a paper cliff gap air voltage go through make that high pitch noise.

Testimonial: "Your nfo has been very helpful, i had suspected the FBT ,thanx again Guru"

First, you will want to isolate the problem. Is it feedback from an AC outlet you have it plugged into? Is it a recent noise that just started with no changes to Tv or its environment, then you may want to consider that a circuit is going and decide if it is worth repairing, You should find that type of fix at a shop for under $100

Note: the high voltage section of your television can shock you with enough current to kill even after it has been unplugged for a year, so it is not advisable to work on them unless you know what you are doing, the pro's use a ground strap at the elbow of the arm they are using while the other arm is far away from the circuitry

My rca tv has a distorted picture and a really high pitched buzzing sound

Problem is in High voltage circuit and likely either the high voltage transformer or a connection right under or around it.

When my rca 36F530 tv is plugged in it makes a high pitched buzzing noise picture does not come on

There is a short circuit in the high voltage circuit. the transformer who helps to create the high voltage or his power transistor is damage. replacement needed. the repair is not expensive, because the parts are average repair. Ask for an estimate.

RCA F20632SE 20" TV

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Rca 27410tyx1 will not shut off

Sounds like trouble in the standby/power up circuit. have you tried unplugging the TV for a half hour and seeing what happens? It might start up but I think this problem won't go away. If you heard a high pitched buzzing it sounds like a problem in the high voltage not letting the start up circuit work. threy are related. The start up circuit waits for the high voltage to stablize and then switches it on.

High Pitched Noise

most high pitch noise comes from the anode conection on the picture tube thats connected to the flyback anode cap thats mean there is a high voltage leak,to stop the noise you can discharge the high voltage take off the cap and clean with alcohol.if the noise continue.you will have to put some red or clear silicone both the cap and tube stick together leave to dry for about 2 to 4 hrs.this will eliminate the leaking.good luck.
