This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Once some printers give the "paper jam error msge" you most go through the motions of clearing paper jam before they will respond even if there is no paper jam.
So I will suggest you turn of printer/open the covers (back and front if applicable). close them back firmly. Turn printer on again and try to print again.
It problem persists, then try this:-
Dust has a way of preventing the sensors from detecting paper. Also it prevents the rollers from having a firm grip on the paper while picking paper; sometimes this could trigger this type of error message. I will suggest you get a long handle brush and try to reach as far inside the printer as possible and brush (from the back and front). If you have a blower you may also use it to blow well into the interior of the printer (If you do not have a blower the brushing will still do if you do it well.) This, if properly done should do it. Brush especially the rollers etc.
Click on this link below and it will show you (with pictures) step by step instructions on how to clear a paper jam with the HP 4215 All In One printer
ithink it is not softwere pfoblem. it is related to the sencer which is connectet to the paper feder ...etc and some time dust of printer created that type problem . in our gener al practes we solved this problem. first we should open cover and drum then blow air by blower. in this way we remove disattach ment of senser., then printer can work.
If either a paper jam or blocked carriage error message appears
in the front panel display there might be some packing material
inside the HP Officejet. Lift open the print-carriage access door to
expose the print cartridges and remove any packing material or
other items that do not belong there.
the paper path may have some jam. It may have some solid particle or paper that's causing disturbance.
If not the paper moving mechanism is having problem.
Better get your printer serviced.....
If you can move the cartridge carrier, move it all the way to the left, turn the printer off and then on again.
Your printer may not be parking the cartridge completely so check the area that the cartridge rests over when parked for a sponge or wiper that is out of place.
I've pulled broken light bulbs, paper clips among the many things that can cause the cartridge from parking in the rest stop.
