I have a Sharp Atomic clock , model SPC373 and the time is incorrect. Everything else is ok, how do I correct the time?

To correct the time on your Sharp Atomic clock, you will need to reset the time zone. To do this, press and hold the "Time Zone" button for 3 seconds until the time zone flashes. Then, press the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to adjust the time zone to the correct time zone. Once the time zone is set, press the "Time Zone" button again to save the settings. The clock should now be displaying the correct time.

How do I change from military to 12 hour format on the time display of the Sharp Atomic Weather Station SPC1003

Resetting: 1. Remove batteries from both the outdoor transmitter and the Temperature station. 2. Wait at least 30 seconds and then repeat the procedures specified in Setting up (above). Note: Always wait at least 30 seconds after removing the batteries before reinserting, otherwise start up and transmission problems may occur. Also, remember when insertting, that both units have to reset and to always reinsert the batteries to the transmitter first

Instructions
    • 1 Insert the batteries into the clock and verify that the clock's display is functioning.
    • 2 Set the correct time-zone and Daylight Saving Time (DST) switches. The switches are on the back of the clock. Select EST if you are in Eastern Standard Time, CST if you are in Central Standard Time, MST if you are in Mountain Standard Time, or PST if you are in Pacific Standard Time. The DST selector should be set to "off" or "on" depending on the laws of your state.
    • 3 Wait 15 minutes. The clock should synchronize automatically.
    • 4 Set the clock manually using the buttons on the back panel if the clock does not catch the radio signal within the first 15 minutes. Push the correct button to advance the month/day/year on the calendar; use the MODE button to set the hour and minute.
    • 5 The clock should adjust itself within 48 hours to match the atomic signal. Verify that the clock is receiving the signal by checking the front display. You should see the image of a tower with circular lines at its top.

How do I set the alarm on my Sharp Accu-Set Model SPC452?

  • 1 Insert batteries into your atomic clock. Without these the clock won't work. The number of batteries required depends on the clock. There is usually a panel on the back of the clock where you can insert the batteries.
  • 2 Set the clock. Usually, this is done automatically, as the clock will seek out and receive the signal within 6 to 8 minutes. If this doesn't happen, you'll need to do it yourself. Hold down the "Set" button. A figure on the clock will start blinking. Adjust this by pressing the adjustment button. Press "Set" again to go to a new time. Continue until the clock is properly set. No matter what you put time you put in manually, the clock should adjust to the atomic setting within 48 hours.
  • 3 Set the time zone on your atomic clock. How to do this depends on your specific clock. On some, there is a time zone slider; you simply slide it to your time zone. Otherwise, you will need to enter the manual mode you used to set the clock. Switch the mode until the time zone starts blinking. Now, adjust until your current time zone is selected. If it goes by Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the time zones in the United States are -5 for Eastern time, -6 for Central, -7 for Mountain, and -8 for Pacific.

I need to change the atomic clock from military time to standard 12-hour format...can't find original manual...have owned the Radio Shack clock for 5 years.

Hit the set button until the number 24 shows up instead of the time. Hit the "+" button once, and it will switch from 24-hour to 12-hour display. Hit the set button to cycle through the rest of the settings.

    Resetting to daylight savings time.

The clock is searching for a strong enough radio signal from NIST station WWVB. When it can't lock on it, it gives up, moves the dial four hours, and goes to sleep to wait for better reception. Put the clock in a window facing towards Boulder, CO, overnight. (Radio propagation is better after dark.)

S10Scan atomic clock model 87310 time is 4;pm should be 10:am

    Hi

    Time zone setting
    Language Setting
The weekdays can be displayed in LCD1 with the pre-set languages: US English, French and Spanish.
    1. Set the desired language for the weekday display in LCD 2 by use of the + key.
    2. Press the SET key to enter the mode “Manual Time Setting”.
    Manual Time Setting
In case the Skyscan Atomic Clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock.
    Note:
In 12 hours mode the time will be displayed with an additional “PM” for the time from 12:00 noon until 11:59.
    1. The hour digits will start flashing on LCD1. Set the desired hours by pressing the +key followed by pressing the SET key.
    2. Now the minute digits will start flashing. Set the desired minutes by pressing the +key . If the + key is held, the units will increase by 5.
    3. Press the SET key to move to the “Year Setting”.
    Note:
The unit will still try and receive the signal every day despite it being manually set. When it does receive the signal, it will change the manually set time into the received time. During reception attempts the WWVB tower icon will flash. If reception has been unsuccessful, then the WWVB tower icon will not appear but reception will still be attempted the following hour.
WWVB time reception takes place from 12:00 am through 6:00 am each day (attempts WWVB reception every full hour within this time frame). When the time signal is received for example at 1:00 am, the Skyscan Atomic Clock will not attempt to receive the WWVB signal for the remaining hours until 6:00 am. Therefore, the next signal attempt will take place between 12:00 am and 6:00 am the next day. The other times WWVB reception takes place, are upon setup and after manual time set exiting mode. Reception is generally not possible during daylight hours due to the interference of the sun.

    Time lag.

Unfortunately, this is an innate problem with this device. Philips has a newer lineup of AJL models that operate on an atomic clock - real-time.

IMPORTANT! To adjust the clock and alarm times accurately, always make sure
you press the up-up or down buttons separately and not simultaneously.
