My console does not allow me to change the incline, speed, etc. The control panel does not acknowledge the buttons pushed. I've turned it off and on.

We found out we had to have a new console. Thanks anyway for the reply.

  • Anonymous Oct 15, 2009

No. It was the console that has to be replaced.

do any buttons work at all? The start buttons?

  • Terry Richardon Aug 15, 2013

Incline button works. Sometimes when I plug it back in the belt runs one mile per hour but still no buttons (except incline) work.

  • Terry Richardon Aug 15, 2013

Also, if I hold the incline button down I can press any button on the consul and get a beep. I'm assuming then that all the buttons area able to receive or send a signal. I wonder if there is a short in the incline switch or motor.

Proform Sport 1000 - The right hand side of my controls which allow me to change the speed of the treadmill do not work. The left side is still operational and allows me to change the incline and select...

Remove the console from the treadmill and remove the back
remove and replace the ribbon cables that run from the keypads to the control board (they are flat plastic strips that push into the board).
remove and replace all the connections on the console
reattach the console and calibrate by doing the following:
1. With the key off press the speed + and stop buttons at the same time and hold
2. place the key on and release the buttons
3. press the stop key once
4. press the speed up til it reaches 85
5. if your max speed is 10 mph then it should read about 9.8-10.2

If the keys will not work then the console is bad and would need replaced.
