Im trying to run two kenwood 6/9,s and a mtx sledge hammer 12'' sub of a mtx 6004 amp.where do i put my rca,s front or rear / and if this is poss how do i bridge the sub ????? im lost

Just run your amp on the front RCA and tune it on your amp they can blow which sounds like whats happend hope this helps

I have a similar setup & I just run the second amp straight off the other amp by running positive & remote wires directly from 1 amps positive & remote inputs to the others amps inputs. But my head unit has RCA inputs, (sub in & front & rear inputs) so from my 4 channel amp I run 2 6 inch alpine S's to the front to the front RCA inputs of the head unit, & 2 Pioneer 440w 6x9 inch speakers to the rear inputs. & my 800w 12 inch sub from my 2 channel amp to the sub woofer inputs on the head unit. Has blown my eardrums for nearly 12 months now great stuff! Hope this has helped

Sounds like the subs are blown with the voicecoils fused together which means the amp is/was seeing a dead short ( zero Ohms reisitence) not good for any amp. Disconnect the speaker terminals from the amp and see if it turns on. The funny smell might have been the subs blowing up, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

yes the sub out on this radio is mono. but to feed you amp will require two rcsa so get a y adaptor to feed both inputs on the amp.

I think you will find that those outputs, SUB, CENTER, must go into an Amp that in turn you plug into, unless they are the ones with inbuilt amps. This depends on the output from your unit though. As to whether it would drive them or not.

Most likely the RCA's are running from the sub out on the deck to the amp. You need to run two sets of RCA's for a 4 channel amp. One for the sub out and one to the front or rear channel.

No. I would recomend running front and rear to the crossover. Use the sub out on the deck so you have total control of subwoofer output at your fingertips. Your deck should have at LEAST an 80hz crossover built in. Any further fine tuning can be done at the sub amp.

If you had 4 single voice coil speakers you can create either of those 2 ohm or 4 ohm setups. If you run 2 of them in parallel you will get the 4 ohms. If you run 4 of them in parallel you will get the 2 ohms. In parallel I mean that you connect the positives together and run them to the positive on the amp and the connect the negatives together and run them to the negative on the amp. Well it should be like this...Your amp is prologic which means that it has 5+1 outputs (sub out may be for active sub).Connect your speakers on specific output for each one (center,front left,front right,rear left,rear right and sub).Other devices,CD,tuner...connect to the amp with signal RCA-RCA cabels.On the back of the amp you have all marked inputs.You wasn't specific what do you want to hook?!If you want to hook this "new" to kenwood connect rec out of it to aux in on kenwood.If oposite kenwood rec out to "new" aux in.Hope that this is what you need

check your fuse up front first. some amps will turn the light on with only the remote wire (the 12 volt signal from the head unit). That may be your issue. If not you need to check your signal input. try hooking the rca's to a diffrent source, i.e. other radio your tv anything with Rca out put. If still you get nothing then pull your subs out and take a regular 9 volt battery and touch the leads to the positive and negative of the sub. Just for a moment though if the subs move when they come in contact with the charge from the battery then my last suggestion would be to take it to a store where you can have an authorized tech check out the equiptment.
