Mobile phones take and display pictures in a wide variety of resolutions and file formats. Many phones can't display some of these pictures from different models because their display resolution is not compatible.

Do you have this problem on every MMS received (from different users), or is this an intermittent problem?

It sounds like you are receiving an MMS forwarding message, where the content of the message is actually stored on a web server that you log into with the information that was forwarded to you.

Please check the following MMS settings on your phone and verify that they match:

From the standby screen, press the Menu Key.

Scroll to "Settings," press Select.

Scroll to "WebAccess," press Select.

Scroll to "Web Sessions," press Select.

Scroll to "Cingular MMS" press Menu.

(if not there select "new")

Scroll to "Edit," press Select.

Validate the following parameters:
Name: Cingular MMS
Homepage: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Service Type 1: HTTP
Gateway IP: 66.209.11.32
Port 1: 9201
Domain 1: leave blank
Service Type 2: WAP
Gateway IP 2: 0.0.0.0
Port 2: 0

Line Type 2: ISDN
GPRS APN: wap.cingular
User Name: [email protected]

Press Done.

Press Exit.

Press Back

Press Back.

Scroll to "Messaging," press Select.

Press the Menu key.

Scroll to "Inbox Setup," press Select.

Scroll to "MMS Message Setup," press Change.

Scroll to "Server Info," press Change.

Scroll to "MMS", press Menu key.

Scroll to and select "Edit".

Validate the following settings:
Service Name: MMS
Server Name: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Web Session Name: MMS

Sorry, forgot to mention the settings I posted are for a Cingular/AT&T account. Also, after you configure these settings, you should no longer get the MMS forwarding messages. You will receive the MMS with the content in the message.

Dnt knw the process to open a mms

Hi, the process of opening MMS is very easy if you have activated MMS feature on your Cellphone.
When your phone receives any MMS message a link will be in the Inbox of SMS or MMS you just need to open the message as you would open an SMS. That's it. The MMS will be opened on your cellphone which you can save on your Cellphone. Please contact the network carrier of your cellphone to download the settings for MMS and to activate MMS on your Cellphone.

No access to my messages and mms;

Usually with my verizon it tells me that I have to access the sms or mms online at their website. I don't get those on this phone. Check with your provider to see if that model phone does not carry that access. I say this cause my wife has the same service but a different kind of phone and she receives these and I can not.

I have the cect p168 quad band cell phone and i cant send or receive pic messages on my phone. i am also having a hard time downloading music to it. what do i do???

I have an answer and a question. First, I had the same problem with downloading stuff from my computer to my phone. I looked on the net for an answer and I found one. http://youtube.com/watch?v=kHFXnHrGmuQ. Since then I can download music and what not to my phone.

As for turing on the bluetooth go to entertainment, extra, bluetooth, and power on.

Now my question is how do I get into my MMS? More precisely, how do I delete the messages when it says that I don't have any in my inbox/outbox? It says in the pop up that there isn't enough MMS storage. In the memory status it says there are 5/100 for usage, 120K for used space, and 0 Bytes for free space. I only sent 1 MMS message and I have 1 missed MMS.

And another thing, when I turn off my phone and turn it back on the screen says "quota usage warning" or something like that and has a timer. I click ok and I am able to access my phone. But how do I make that stop coming up?

Cant send sms

The settings are all different, Internet, Wap etc... for MMS you need to call your service provider and ask them to send you the MMS settings, they are sent via a txt msg, when you receive them click Save or Install.
MMS doesn't work between all networks.

VX8300 pix messaging

The MMS service does't always work between networks, you sometimes have to retreive the pics via a PC.
I presume you received the MMS settings from your network service provider.

RAZR V3XX - sends my texts as MMS, rather than SMS...

I had this same problem and called Motorola for support. The solution is to clear text/mms message inbox and outbox. The default setting on my phone was to never clear the inbox but I changed that to remove messages when they are 10 days old, I have not experienced the problem since.

Texting

Go to your message setup and there should be a place there to change that.
