Tel mute
The Tel Mute function is controlled by the pink wire in the loom. Make sure it is not connected to anything.
A capacitor inside the unit has also known to cause this problem when it goes bad. This will have to be repaired by a tech. but you can let them know to look for C719 or C711 (I think C711 is printed on the pcb) .

Stereo sounds good for factory installed but would like to know why cd player will not work
