I recently bought saints row 2 for the xbox 360. When i put it in to play it, sometimes it loads up to 5% and stops, other times if freezes on the screen right before the load up screen. My whole xbox then locks up and i cant even get into the xbox dashboard by pressing the guide button. My 360 is only a month old, and every other game i have ever play works perfect. I have tried three different copies of saints row 2, whats the problem?
try and save the game to your Xbox360 harddrive(HDD) and then run it off that? try and save the game to your Xbox360 harddrive(HDD) and then run it off that?

It is normally the disc that either is scratched, has dust on it or is dirty.
You can clean the disc with warm water if it is dirty, that won't damage it, but don't use boiling water, that would be crossing the line.
If the game is scratched, you might check your nearest GameStop, they might have this disc fixer, or whatever they call it. They have it here in Norway, so I guess they have it most places around the world. :)
You have probably downloaded some DLC (DownLoadable Content) and it might have been deleted, so you have to re-download it to continue playing the game.
erm this might be a firmware issue i suggest if your still under warrenty contact xbl customer support and they will reflash the firmware on the cd drive
Well the disc driver obviously works on most of your games except saints row 2. Saints row 2 is in mint condition well i have this problem too with my 360 it reads some games and it doesn't read my other ones well theirs a few ways one is by leaving the game inside of the console and shut it down wait like 5 seconds and turn it back on. Another is to make sure the laser its self doesn't have dust on it. And when you put in a disc listen to it as it spins if makes any weird scratching noise its probably the laser hitting the disc a lot of 360s disc have been getting scratched recently due to the fact in microsoft's original design of the disc drive the laser keeps on hitting the disc and scratching it so if thats the case you have to replace the disc drive. If solutions don't help let me know i might be able to help you more.
You may have an issue either with the game or your display. We have some steps you can try in the below article, but you may want to contact the publisher to look into the issue further.
Also, have you all tried cleaning your game disk or exchanging the disk at the retail store for another copy? Do you receive an error message, does the console fully lockup, or does the action on screen slow down but the game still plays?
