I bought a desktop at a pawnshop and i dont know the password for it what do i do to get through

try pressing these buttons left trigger, right trigger, x, y, left bumper, right bumper DOWN, Y, UP, DOWN , down down down down. when it asks to rest system settings select yes

best option would be to get a new HD for it, you have to have the original password to make a new one, at least thats what i have noticed, or call sony's customer support, that should be able to tell you how to reset it

This laptop could have been stolen property, that is why there is a password lock.
I suggest you take it back to the pawn shop and get your money back.

Step One- Contact Nintendo
Step Two- Let the know that you dont have the current password.
Step Three- They will call you back within 15 minutes or longer.
Step Four- They will give you a new password.

The pawnshop should have the code as they bought the item. If they do a simple phone call should get you the information you need.
If they do not have the code report them for bad business as the laptop may have been stolen. (Why else would they not have access to the code?) Even if it was bought legit they sold it to you without a code to access you item. (Your not going to buy a locked safe are you?)
The only way I know to get past a locked computer is to reinstall the OS (Most likely Windows)
This is complicated and should only be done by someone who know how. There may bve other ways but I am not aware of them. Good Luck, and call that pawn shop!!!

Several different types of password encryption methods.

First, remove the watch-type battery for several minutes. This resets the bios and may fix the problem. (Some desktops have reset pins that need to be jumped...maybe so with your laptop.)

Operating system password require password recovery software. Some reset the password, others delete all passwords. look for ophcrack.

Assuming you have never used a password on the computer, deleting the user name and leaving both fields blank will work. Failing that, there are utilities available to reset the password on Windows systems, post again with the operating system you are using.

When seeing the log on screen of the user, press
CTRL, ALT and Del a couple of times untill a box appears asking for user name and password.
In user name type: Administrator and leave the password field blank, this should allow you to get on and delete that account.
