Phone line static

When I use the motorola ME 4066 digital 1.8Ghz cordless phone I get alot of static noise which makes it difficult to hear the person on the line. I have broadband and filters on every outlet. I have tried to turn off the modem but problem is still there.

What do I have to do to have crystal clear phone lines???

Make sure there are no other products that may be interfering with the use of the phone around the base. Move the base away from any other 2.4 GHz products, radios, video displays, television sets and personal computers. Other products that may cause interference are kitchen appliances, surge protectors and modems. See if the problem persists when locating the base in another room.

Cordless phones

1) unplug all phones
2) plug them back in and check line.
If you still have the issue,!take a corded phone with. Phone jack coed to your box on the outside of the house. Usually gray, unscrew the first box - you'll see modules there - the one with the last four of your phone number is the module we'll use. Follow the directions on the box to open that module - plug your phone into the module. Here's the important thing - if you don't hear static, then the problem is from inside your house. If you call att to come out they will charge you - but that's the whole unplug the phones and centralize your base better. However, if you still hear static in the outside box, it's an att issue and have to come out at no charge.

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!

Uniden 3315 Frequency Problem

Your phone has Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), known as Digital European Cordless Telephone[1] until 1995, The digital filters will prevent interference from the bandwidths used by phones and wi-fi.
Your phone also incorporates dynamic channel allocation which switches frequencies when noise(static) is encountered.
Eventually your conversations take a wire route down the road. You are getting some "cross talk", an actual scientific term used to describe signal transmission from one line parallel to another by magnetic eddy currents. I would call the phone company and have them trace the problem.

When i dial and press the talk butto, i still hear a dial tone...please help

Please follow these troubleshooting steps;

Tip 1 of 9
Move the handset closer to the base. The operating range may vary with environmental conditions and time of use. There may be places within your environment that a cordless phone will not work well. If the problem only occurs in certain areas of your environment, you can conclude that there is nothing wrong with the phone. Consider trying a phone that operates on a different wireless frequency.

Tip 2 of 9
If you subscribe to DSL service for this telephone line, DSL filters must be plugged into EVERY phone jack that has a phone. The DSL signal can cause static/noise, squealing (similar to fax tones), caller ID disruption and other issues on your line. DSL filters block the high frequency DSL signals from being transmitted to the telephone. If you are not using the DSL filters provided by the telephone company, this will cause static/noise and possibly caller id issues on your phones.
In most cases, we recommend you connect the plug end of the DSL filter into the telephone jack, then connect a telephone cord between the filter and your phone.
Please contact your service provider to obtain DSL filters and installation information.

Tip 3 of 9
Other electronic products (i.e., 802.11 wireless networking products, radios, radio towers, pager towers, cell phones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal computers, kitchen appliances and other cordless phones) can cause interference with your cordless phone. Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices.

Tip 4 of 9
To get better reception, try moving the telephone base to higher location. Relocate telephone base near a window if using telephone outside.

Tip 5 of 9
Excessive background noise will cause a speakerphone to fade in and out. Try controlling the background noise by turning off any audio devices near the speakerphone. Also, try to avoid interrupting the person at the other end of the conversation while they are speaking. If background noise cannot be controlled, you should terminate speakerphone operation and return to normal handset mode.

Tip 6 of 9
Disconnect any other equipment that is connected in series with your phone. If you phone begins to perform normally, there is a compatability issue with your other equipment.

Tip 7 of 9
If your phone shares a power outlet with a modem, or if it is plugged in to a shared surge protector, try plugging the phone (or modem/surge protector) in at a different location. If this solves the problem, re-locate your phone or modem farther apart from one another, or use separate surge protectors.

Tip 8 of 9
There may be places within your environment that a cordless phone will not work well. If the problem only occurs in certain areas of your environment, there is nothing wrong with the phone. This is normal radio operation.

Tip 9 of 9
You may have a line problem. To test for a line problem, test your unit at another location such as your neighbor’s or relative’s house. If your unit works at another location, contact your local telephone company
