I have asked advice on my DS LITE but it keeps telling me to accept or reject the offer, I tried what he said but it didnt work .......... My Ds lite was working fine then all of a sudden i turned it on and the bottom touch screen went white, when I use the styles on it, I can hear that it is still working but it is just a white screen, my first advice was to take out thee battery which I did for a fair while then put it back in and charge it via another source which I did in the car but it is still white nothing has changed

Car charger? The problem is not with your Nintendo PSU, a car charger would not make any difference.
Your Nintendo is Faulty, when it is showing only half screen, The problem is either ribbon cable or LCD display.
The LCD display has two separate panels. One is the LCD that display picture, connected to the controller board through a flat ribbon cable. And the touchscreen panel, that has its own wiring to mainboard.
In your case either the LCD panel or the flat ribbon cable is faulty. When you get the half screen problem it is usually the panel.
LCD display replacement for DS is a cheap part, its cost is below $10:

Try first to reset the unit and see if that helps and that by taking the battery out from the back for some time to make sure it is totally off then connect the battery and close the back and use another charger to charge the battery if you using direct AC then try using the car charger...let me know if this helped or not...good luck

If that did not work it, may be fault with the cartridge, try cleaning the gold contacts.

If the screens go white or black intermittently after that, more likely there is a problem with your DS.

Hope that work for you, and please let me know

My ds lite will turn on and you can see the screen above but the bottom screen stays white. You can touch the bottom screen and it appears to respond to some interaction. What can I do to get things...

if you feel confident enough to open up the ds check ribbon cable is tightly in the connector, the clasp that hold the cable has a littke brown flip hinge on it and is quite fragile so take care.

You will have to gentley push the screen up towards you to find the riibon cable connecter. If the cable seems fine then the screen probably needs changing, but the screen is made up 2 parts, the screen and the touch screen membrane which lies on top and held in place by a bit of adhesive.

You have to seperate them by gently prizzing them apart, if you dont feel confident doing this you can buy replacement bottem screens fully made up, but it would be a shame to do this as the touch mambrane part of the screen seems like it is working. hope this helps a bit and good luck

DS lite screen

Hahahahaha that is how it works but if you go to the little DS at the bottom of the touch screen and tap it there will be a fixer manual use it and when you are done the system will shut off and just turn it on again and also the touch screen is the most important thing on your ds so keep it scratchless and clean! On some games the top screen is an important thing and somtimes it doesnt show anything

Faulty game console

Maybe the ribbon cable was damaged. the ribbon cable is a flat wire thing used to connect the top screen and bottom screen. you can buy a ribbon cable on ebay for a cheap price.

if that wasn't the problem, maybe the bottom lcd screen is dead. you'll need to replace that.

NIntedno DS lite bottom screen

IMPORTANT: it is not a grave or expensive problem but to solve this problem you need to dissasemble the intendo DS lite, so you must get some guidance like youtube videos on how to dissasemble the NDS Lite or other webpages with info on dissasembling the unit.
You have to carefully open the console, then check for unplugged flex cables and reinstall cables in the connectors to be sure. Then put the console together without screws to retest the unit and see if the screen is working now.

If not then you need a replacement bottom screen and depending on your abilities to retire the touch pad without cracking it you might or might not need a touch pad.

Take out the battery and charger to avoid short circuits while working.

Good Luck...
