Your TV must have an adapter for output where you can connect the
cord to the input of your hi-fi system. Yes, you can use it, and control
the sound from your TV and Hi-fi. First, you must set your TV volume
to low position. Then, adjust the volume further at your Hi-fi to a
comfortable level. Let us know thru the e-mail and vote for our solution.

TEAC DC-D2800 Digital Compact Hi-Fi System

This sounds like an internal amplifier problem. Did you smell anything burn? Try turning it off completely and plugging it to a different outlet.

If all else fails, have it checked by an electronics technician...

I have a TDK NX-4CD Slimeline 2.1 CH.CD/MP3 Hi Fi System but cannot get any sound from speakers although everything powers up and speakers seem to be OK

System needs to be rated for less than half the OHMs the speakers are rated at IE: 4 OHMs vs 8-16 OHMs.
So, ya can't use 2-4 OHM speakers with a 4 OHM capable HI-FI or the system transistors will burn out and turn to the whole thing to junk.
Yes, the speakers are louder cause, the speakers are drawing more power than the HI-FI is capable of or built for. See "OHM's Law"

Also, the Speakers and HI-FI are wired for -/+
OFF or ON; DO NOT CROSS THE -/+ OUTPUTS!
So, IF Negative speaker wire
goes to Negative output on the HI-FI
...Where does the Positive wire go?

Need to know is there is a input on the back of the sony davdx255 for the tv to recieve surround sound.

Does a TV NEED surround sound if you have a surround sound HIFI? Normal setero sound would probably suffice as the TV might not actually have electroics or speakers to do anything but mic\x it down to lo-fi stereo.

Correlary: You COULD just drag regular RCA audio out of your cable box to the TV if you want to watch the news or talk shows.

How do i connect speakers to my samsung ps42q97hd plasma tv

Hello,

The model in question does not have standard speaker outputs, so there is no way to "directly" wire the speakers up.

Presumably because the TV has built in speakers.

However, you can use the audio outputs on the rear of the TV, Red RCA plug and White RCA plug to drive the speakers connected to a hi-fi system, Surround amp or similar?

The cables are very cheap, available from Argos and the like.

You will notice the improvement in sound.

Does that help?

No sound on PLTV 4250

Easy! If you have a VCR,put a VHS tape in the VCR,run the video cable behind the TV and the audio cable from the VCR to a hi fi receiver/speaker(cd input or tape input.)
If you have sound coming out from the HI FI,go ahead and plug the audio connection along with the video connection behind the tv.If there is no sound, it could be:
A. your TV speaker is completed its mission-;o)Blown speaker.
B. you are on TV MUTE!
C. your audio cable is defective(small chance, cause you have left and right!)
D. your connection was incorrect.

Connecting it to a tv through a stereo with a cable box

Hiya ... you have a simple lead or set up problem .. ensure that the lead is a good quality one .... and also that the correct leads are atttached where they should be on the tv & stereo... select AV....( this is also dependant on the number of peripheral attachments and their set up to the T.V... ie Digital box.. dvd player... scart or aerial connection)... after checking these... use your T.V controls.. select menu... sounds...external sounds... or digital sounds... something similar....select external devices.... ensure that you have the "phono" selected on your hi-fi.. this should sort your problem.
You should remember also that once you use your Hi-fi to listen to your t.v.... some tv sound systems will.. not allow any of the additional speakers attached to the tv to work ..... you should however be able to manipulate bass/treble settings in certain sound modes via your tv remote.
Alternatively if you have the ROCK/POP/CINEMA...etc selection modes on your hi-fi these can also be used for a satisfactory sound...
Have I understood your problem correctly? and has it helped?
