When you connect the vizio try changing the resolution settings on your laptop to see if that makes a difference. Could be that your video card output is not really compatible with the higher requirements of the Vizio.

Horizontal blinking lines appear on the screen of Sony Vaio VPCEL 10EL

Possible cause:

1. Video card failure.
2. Bad connection between video cable and LCD screen.
3. Bad LCD screen.
4. Faulty video cable.

Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:

1. First of all, test the laptop video output on the external monitor. If you see same flashing lines running through the image on the external monitor, you have a problem with the video card. If flashing lines appear only on the laptop screen, the failure is not related to the video card.

2. Just in case, try re-seating the video cable connectors on the motherboard/video card and maybe the back of the LCD screen. It' s not likely but possible that connection is loose and reconnecting the cable will fix the flashing lines.

3. If re-seating the cable connectors doesn't help, most likely you have a faulty LCD screen. The LCD screen has to be replaced.

4. If replacing the screen doesn't help, try replacing the video cable. It's very unlikely that this problem is related to the video cable but there is a slight possibility of that.

My HP compaqnx9600 laptop screen display verticle lines, how can i remove them

Hi,

Here are some steps that you can try.

- Hook up an external monitor.
- If the line is visible on the external display, try to update your video card driver. But if updating the driver will not remove the vertical lines, you are certainly having problem with the video card of the laptop.
- If the line is not visible, then the problem is with the LCD of the unit. Either you have to replace or check the connections of the LCD inverter or LCD cable.
- However, if you don't have any external monitor, go to BIOS setup (by pressing F10, or whatever key is designed to access the BIOS on your laptop) and check if the line is visible, if yes, you're having an LCD/screen problem. Either you have to replace or check the connections of the LCD inverter or LCD cable.

Hope this helps.

I cant find thevdriver device to conect my phone by usb cable to uopload pictures help its a sylvania 7 inch netbook

I am not sure there is a way to directly connect a cellphone via USB cable to the Sylvania Netbook. If your cellphone phone can do e-mail you can send your pictures to yourself and save them on the Netbook.

A simpler solution maybe to hook your phone to your desktop/laptop and copy your pictures onto the desktop/laptop.

Then copy to a USB stick and put that in the SN usb port and copy it over. If you can put your mini-SD card from your cellphone into a full size SD adapter you may be able to copy it directly off the cellphone SD card.

NOTE! The SD card goes into the Sylvania Netbook "facedown" with the contacts on top.

Activesync does not appear to work on the Sylvania Netbook.

If you have to "update" your SN operating system you will lose all pictures that are not on either an external SD card or other external storage.

There is some discussion on the Yahoo Sylvania Netbook group on how to copy files to/from a desktop/laptop and the SN but it involves making a couple of registry changes to the SN and installing some other software on your desktop/laptop.

3. Memory Card

.carloadrian_9.jpg
SD cards are used in many cell phones.

Many cell phones come with removable memory chips, which can be used to expand the available storage on the cell phone, or to transfer files (such as music and pictures) between the cell phone and other devices. Once you identify the kind of expandable memory in use on your phone, an adapter can usually allow you to connect it to a laptop as if it were a USB drive.

Here's the instructions on how to do that:

1. Determine what kind of two-gigabyte memory chip your cell phone uses. You can do this by checking the specifications of your cell phone in the manual or on the manufacturer's website, or by removing the card and examining it. As of April 2010, the most common kind of memory card used in cell phones is the SD format, which comes in standard, mini, and micro sizes. Your phone may also use the Memory Stick Pro or Pro Mini format. The format type will be printed on the side of the card.
2. Purchase a USB adapter for the card you are using, which is available from many different vendors. If your card is in a mini or micro format, make sure that the adapter comes with a sleeve for the card of your size; this allows you to insert a mini or micro card into the sleeve, and changes the card into a standard size for use with the adapter.
3. Insert the card into the sleeve, if necessary, then into the adapter. Connect the adapter to a USB port on your laptop. The card will appear on your laptop as if it were a USB drive. When you are finished working with the card on your laptop, you can move it back to your cell phone.

Bottom half of laptop is dark with vertical lines

Generally, what you describe is a failure of the LCD screen.

Things you can try:

1. Reseat the LCD video connection to the video card.
2. Connect an external monitor see if the issue occurs externally (If so the video card is failing)

If video works normally externally, then LCD replacement is warranted

If the system is in warranty, contact technical support from the manufacturer.

Dark Grey Vertical Bar

1. try connecting laptop to an external monitor and check if this vertical dark gray bar appears. if yes it means video is the problem. you need to boot in safe mode then uninstall the video driver. boot to notmal mode then download and install the latest video driver. if still same problem then replace video card. if video is built in with motherboard you need to replace motherboard.

2. when the vertical dark gray bar did not appear in the external monitor then it means issue is with the LCD panel. Do this turn off laptop. press and hold D key then press Power button at the same time or Press and hold on the Fn key then Power button check if the test will run. Color displays full screen when you keep pressing on N key when the colors appears check the vertical dark gray bar if still exist in the test, this means LCD panel and LCD cable needs to be replaced.

Screen flickers

If light is good and picture flickers, then it is either a bad LCD ribbon cable, or cable not well placed into connector, or a bad LCD display, usually it is the cable.
If picture flickers like light is dimming out and coming back, then it is the LCD lamp, probably in need of replacement.
In some rare case a faulty Video card is causing the problem.
Usually to fix this you need to take apart LCD display and upper laptop plate, to reveal the display cable.
