Antenna not detected could be caused by one of three things: The antenna, the docking station, or the receiver. If you have other equipment to troubleshoot, you can narrow down what is causing your issue and replace it. tss-radio.com is a good source for parts and trouble shooting ;)
Page 62:
If "CHECK SR TUNER" or "ANTENNA ERROR" appears in
the front panel display, the connection of the SiriusConnect
tuner or antenna is incorrect. In such cases, check the
connection of the SiriusConnect tuner and the antenna (see
page 115).
• If "NOT SUPPORTED" appears in the front panel display, this
unit does not support the connected SiriusConnect tuner.

Or the SR Tuner is fluky. Refer to its manual and start over with IT as the product, not the Yamaha.
Usually the antenna is not plugged-in all the way, or you have broken the little tiny antenna wire. Try another location first, then try another antenna.
Several possiblities: one: antenna really is bad - borrow a friends Sirius or XM antenna and plug it into the base and see if the message goes away -if it does, replace antenna; if not, then your 'dock' or base could be bad - try removing and reinstalling the radio or try another base. If another base and antenna don't solve it, then the radio is shot and it's time for a new one. Customer service will ususally give you a great deal on a new XM radio IF you agree to keep it for 1 year. Let me know how it goes.
This unit looses reception all of the time even with the antenna headphones placed right next to my cars antenna.
You need the car or home kit or else you will suffer many drop outs "aquiring signal".
More than likely, it is the antenna. Sad to say, but the Sirius antennas go bad very easily. Make sure there is no undue pressure on the antenna wire itself, as that can aide to premature failure. Bad antennas are the number one reason for the unit to read 'antenna not detected.' I have seen plenty of the antennas go bad and they were not misused one bit. If you contact Sirius, they're usually pretty good at understanding the misfortune of losing your paid service. Sometimes they'll ship you out a new antenna.
With the antenna plugged in, it may take a minute to aquire the signal. If it takes more than a minute there is a problem with the antenna or the reciever.
i had the same problem and had to return the antenna to radio shack to get a replacement. the guy said that the antenna had a crack in it from the cold weather or water got into the antenna and that is why it malfunctioned.
