The motor (torque) on ONLY ONE of my turntables (both 1210 MK2) is much weaker than the other turntable. When I hold the record still and release, it starts up much slower than normal. Also when I barely touch the record, the platter ALMOST comes to a complete stop. Is this an issue with the motor or the caps/transistors?

need to know if it powers up. Does it try to spin, do you hear it trying to spin? More than likely the on/off switch went bad. No, I am not referring to the ON/OFF knob. THere is a switch this engages when turned. The part is S601. You might also want to replace the Start/Stop switch as well. If neither work, then the issue is on the main PC board, and probably IC101, or IC201 with the problem. At this stage, you will have to have a service tech look at your unit.

This is a drive issue. Unfortunately the TTX direct drive system isn't the greatest. It's good, but it's no Technics 1200. The only way to 'fix' this issue is to have a professional look at main circuit board to see if there are any components which are burned, or damaged in any way.
Hope this helps some.

It would appear this is a belt drive turntable - here's a link to a site where you can order a replacement, although you may be able to find a cheaper one.

Depends on if it's a belt drive turntable or direct drive.
If a belt one, there will either be a speed adjuster on the top of the motor, or one on a PC Board. And yes apart from setting the speed, it as straightforward as taking the old one out and wiring the new one in.
The direct drive, will also have to be adjusted for speed too.
