When I try to hook a second kx-t7630 to another (parallel) I can make outgoing calls but cannot answer them.

Next time you have an incoming call:
-Leave the handset down (do not answer the call).
-Press the 'transfer' button to scroll through the different displays until the caller ID is shown.
-Lift the handset to answer the call.
-The next time you have an incoming call it should show the caller ID.

if you are saying the answering machine wont answer..try calling and let it ring like 12 times, it will pick up

1:Call First party/ When answered press CONF button top left hand corner
2: Call second Party/
3:Press CONF button once again.... Thats it

From the intercom dial *710x ext and # where X is 2/3/4/5 for All,Busy,No Answer,Busy/No Answer. There are some other conditions and Do Not Disturb in the dialing string (and 0 cancels) but that's the basic.

To call out: Go off hook press an idle CO button-- Dial outside phone number. There is no need to dial "9".

Parallel is just a method of connecting phones. It has its own set of programming, both extension number, class of service, and ringing.

If you have access to system programming, you can add this phone to an ICD group with the other extensions. If not, you'll have to get in touch with your installer/dealer to make the changes.

press sp-phone enter *71029, then enter the outside number, then #, you will hear a tone that means call forwarding is activated.

You may not be progammed for outside call on those lines or they may be Centrex lines which require a "9" to be dialed first.
