Mham2525, Did it have a "perfect" picture on it yesterday? You do know that if the COLD-CATHODE-FLUORESCENT-TUBES that are hung on the rear of the LCD PANEL fail to light, all you get is a BLACK screen to look at!!!!! OMG, What shall I do now???? It sure would be nice if all we needed to do was remove the cover and then screw-in 4 new CFL light bulbs into our monitors. YOUR UNIT WILL NEED TO BE TROUBLESHOOTED AND REPAIRED. MOST LIKELY A SMPS/INVERTER BOARD FAILURE. CALL HP TO SEE IF THEY HAVE A SWAPOUT PROGRAM. Bye for now. lmistyrel @aol.com

LG W1934S turn on, power led shows blue light, but no display

so working on super old 2007 PC monitors. and no PC connected."? it is NOT ANY LED BACK LAMP monitor here.
came new with XP PC's.
the monitos all good to sleep mode if no PC vidoeo connected.
in the usa, even by law, (energy star)
how ever lacking a PC, the screen will show "no signal entering sleep mode"
VGA monitor.
LED = blue on, amber sleep, LED out, oFF.
NO 1080P mode allowed, (so common now) <<<< big clue here.
set the PC to 1024 x 768 (to test ) 60Hz.
using a flash light (torch) tool,.
turn on Monitor, see blue LED
point flash light to screen, see data, now, on sceen in the beam
now you now CCFL backlamps are dead. as most are this old.

Display Modes (Resolution)

640 x 350
720 x 400
640 x 480
800 x 600
832 x 624

1152 x 870
1152 x 900
1280 x 1024

Power black screen failure hp pavillion dv2000

Normally is because the battery is empty or in an error state.
If you plug the power cord and the led still blinking, disconect everything, turn your laptop and search how to take out the battery, wait 1 minute then replug it again and try.

HP Pavilion F1503 only displays a split second?

well, its a 2003 LDC 13 years old ,
its bad
the monitor itself of the power pack to it is bad.
you can test it on any PC< or laptop made
if its dead on all , then its dead.
what more needs saying,
older LCD monitors had old CCFL, lamps. that love to fail
newer are LED back lights that last for ever. it seems
so up grade?
seems your back light is dead
ever do the flash light trick
shine it at the dead screen see good data
yes, then the CCFL is DEAD< (or its power supply ,deep inside)
fixed may but would never do a 2003, not now.
lots of used good LED for sale,

Why does my HP vs17 monitor screen keep going to blank black screen like it turned off but did'nt.....blue power button light is still on? Everything is running but no picture.....keeps happening everytime...

this old monitor has 2 issues.
1: it has CCFL tubes that love to burn out (backlamps)
most this old are long go, yell, dim.,blinking or DEAD.
2: push the menu button on front of mon. turn off power saver.

3: if the PC goes to sleep, or hibernete mode (parked)
then that is 100% normal
if you dont like feature then go to windows control panel
click power, ICON and turn off all monitor sleep /hibernate modes.

that assumes windows, no OS stated.

if the lamps are dead,
use flash light pointed to sceen, see data. ? bingo for bad CCFT tubes.

Hp pavilion f1703 blue monitor power button flashesw/ dark screen

Have you tried connecting this monitor to another computer, even a laptop. This would tell you whether the display is bad or the video card is the culprit. I suspect the monitor's power supply is dying. Taking it to a pro for repair should cost @55.00. Buying a new monitor @ $100 - $125.
