My sons I pod shows disabled, try again in 10000000 minutes

Hi Jack Sandall
If you have forgotten the code or put the wrong code in your ipod, you can unlock the Ipod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one Ipod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock Ipod using either (the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs). . . you can restore your ipod to factory settings using ipod Updater.
Please note that this will erase all data on your ipod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your ipod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your Ipod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted.
Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your ipod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your ipod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the Ipod, which will erase all music and data.

Songs shown loaded on the iPod on my computer, but iPod is empty

Well first I have a question that may seem silly. Are you using iTunes? If not you will need to start doing so. Apple designs the iPod to only work properly with itunes. There for many other media players may sync the ipod for a time but eventually it will stop working.
If so you may want to restore the iPod then attempt to re-sync everything. If this does not work you most likely have a hardware issue.
If any of this seems unclear or you need advice on how to perform these tasks please do let me know. :-)

I want to erase songs my son's songs from my ipod .

Connect the iPod to the computer.
Open up iTunes.
On the left side bar of iTunes, click on the music icon underneath the icon of the mp3 player (if it doesn't show up, you might have iTunes ver. 7 installed, and you would need to upgrade to ver. 8 to resolve).
Left-click a song you want to delete and then right-click the song once - select "Delete"
Repeat procedure with all songs you want to delete.

You may run into trouble later if auto-sync has been set up for a particular folder...rather than go into this lengthy explanation now, just let me know if the songs that you have just deleted re-appear after you recconect the iPod to the computer.

Good luck!

Deleted songs

Look in the music folder (top left of the main itunes page). You should see all of your songs there. If they are there, then plug in your ipod, click on the name of your ipod (left hand ide of the screen) and check the box on the main screen that says (manually manage music). Then go back to the main music folder again, and select all of the songs, (you can do this by clicking on the first ong in the list, hold down the shift key and then click on the last song in the list), then drag and drop all of the songs onto your ipod in the list at the left.

Ipod mp3 problem

Did you use iTunes to transfer the songs? If you used Windows Media Player, that won't work, at least for me. To download iTunes, go to apple.com. If you think the songs are on the iPod, connect it to your computer and search it through My Computer. Hope that works.
