Hi mate,
Prior to your issue i may enlighten you with this source.
Technical Infomation 0105/0101/0102/0103/0201/0202/0203/0204 Jam Code: Paper lint adheres to surface of vertical path roller

Description
Since a type of paper that can easily generate lint was used, the paper lint adhered to the surface of the vertical path roller and decreased the paper feed performance of the roller, causing the jam code "0105."
Depending on paper sources, the following jams occur.
- Cassette 1: 0105 (registration sensor PS9 delay)/0201(cassette1 retry sensor PS10 stationary)
- Cassette 2: 0101 (cassette 1 retry sensor PS10 delay)/0202(cassette 2 retry sensor PS11 (cassette pedestal) delay)
- Cassette 3: 0102 (cassette 2 retry sensor PS11 delay)/0203 (cassette 3 retry sensor PS1 (cassette pedestal) delay)
- Cassette 4: 0103 (cassette 3 retry sensor PS1 (cassette pedestal) delay)/0204 (cassette 4 retry sensor PS2 (cassette pedestal) delay jam)
To prevent this, a vertical path roller to which paper is hart do adhere was used for the following machines (the color of the roller was changed from black to gray).
- iR2230 120V THF03592 and later/120V TW SHD00033 and later /220V CN SHC01553 and later/230V EUR THG02606 and later /230V THH00339 and later

False paper jam hp laserjet 4200

Do you have this problem if you try to feed the paper from the manual paper tray? Does this happen all the time or only once in a while? It may be that the paper feed rollers are slipping and this is throwing off the timing of the printer and it stops because it does not know where the paper is. If the printer will feed fine from manual then check the rollers in the tray 2 cavity. The white cored roller is the pickup roller and the blue cored roller is the feed roller. Clean both with a paper towel dampened with water. Post back what you find and I can assist further. Also make sure that the paper guides in the tray are set properly. The back stop on these trays has a habit of either sliding back or cracking.

How to replace pickup rollers

This should help. Good luck !

Cassette (Tray 2) paper pickup and feed rollers

To remove the paper pickup and feed rollers

1 Remove the cassette.

2 Locate the two rollers on the bottom of the paper pickup unit (above the cassette). The pickup

roller is the smaller roller, and the feed roller is the larger roller.

3 Pinch the tab on the end of the cassette pickup roller (callout 1), and pull the roller out.

4 Pinch the tab on the end of the cassette feed roller (callout 2), and pull the roller out.

Figure 6-24 Removing the cassette pickup and feed rollers

Note Always replace the cassette pickup roller and the cassette feed rollers at the same time. Also replace
the separation roller (located in the paper cassette) when replacing these rollers

I have a hp laserjet 4250 printer it had a paper jam in tray 2 i have cleared the jam but it keeps saying i still have the jam in tray 2

There is still paper stuck in the printer. try lifting the printer off of tray 2 to inspect it or here it is straight from the service manual...

Jams in tray 2

Table 7-10 Causes of tray 2 jams

Cause Solution

The feed or separation rollers are dirty, worn, or damaged. Clean the rollers. If they are dirty after cleaning, or if they are

worn or damaged, replace the rollers.

The pickup roller is worn or damaged. Replace the pickup roller.

The tray 2 paper pickup assembly drive gears are damaged

or the assembly is defective.

Check the drive gears in the paper pickup drive assembly.

Replace the pickup drive assembly if the gears are

damaged. See Paper-pickup drive assembly.

The tray 2 pickup solenoid (SL101) is damaged. 1 Disconnect the connector for the tray pickup solenoid

from the dc controller PCA (location J92).

2 Measure the resistance between the cable connectors.

3 If the measured resistance is not approximately

160 ohms for the HP LaserJet 4200/4300, or 110 ohms

for the HP LaserJet 4250/4350, replace the tray 2

pickup solenoid.

The tray 2 lifter-drive assembly or the stack position

sensor (PS107) is defective.

Replace the lifter-drive assembly. See Tray 2 lifter-drive

assembly and/or Printer switches and sensors.

The dc controller PCA is defective. Replace the dc controller PCA. See Dc controller PCA.

Dirty, worn, or deformed pick-up roller, cassette separation

roller, and cassette feed roller.

Clean the rollers if they are dirty. Replace any worn or

deformed rollers. The cassette separation roller and the

cassette feed rollare are to be replaced together.

Damaged gears in the cassette pick-up drive unit. Move the gears in the cassette pick up drive unit. If the

gears are not rotating correctly, or are damaged or worn,
replace the cassette pick-up drive unit.

My HP printer is not feeding paper.

Here is the solution for your problem just go through the steps given below and you can fix it yourself.

1. Check to make sure your printer has paper in its paper tray. If your printer has paper, check to make sure that the tray is not overloaded. If you suspect your paper tray is overloaded, remove some paper from the tray and attempt to print again.

2. Use the same type of paper when stocking the tray with paper; do not mix different types of paper into a single stack. Mixing different brands and weights of paper in a single stack makes your printer more prone to paper feed problems. If you find that one particular type of paper causes consistent feed problems, switching to a different type or weight of paper may solve the problem.

3. Check to make sure the paper in the tray is whole. Torn and creased paper will cause problems with the printer.

4. Open your printer's rear access cover and inspect the paper feed rollers. Dusty or dirty rollers cannot grip the paper; clean them with a soft, damp cloth and water.

5. Count your printer's rollers. HP printers have six paper feed rollers; if your printer is missing rollers the paper will not feed correctly. Contact HP to replace the rollers and repair your printer.

Thanks.

Paper is in the feed tray, but it continues to say NO Paper??? Brother MFC-8460N any suggestions?

Could be a tab or spring broken off of the feed tray, dirty feed roller can cause that error when paper doesn't feed. Paper guide too tight so that paper can't lift to the feed roller also a possibility. Sensor above paper stack out of position.. many possibilities.

Pickup Roller not turning for upper tray

I think it is not a problem with the parts you mention, I think it may be that the printer is not getting told to feed from manual bypass tray (tray1) (ie driver setting)

what software are you using, is driver correct, what operating system, what are you tring to feed from bypass just standard?

I have fixed hundreds of these and the parts you mention I doubt is the fix

There are options on how this tray behaves available, in driver

tell me more and I'll help you

Printing and faxing more than one page at a time

Hi This is a common problem, not only with your printer, but most at some time or other. In part it seems you get what you pay for, in that if you buy premium paper (business grade 40 mil), you normally have less problems. The paper is drawn into the printer by a rubber or compacted foam roller, and sometimes the paper sheets will sick to each other, and more than one will be drawn in. The best thing to do if you are using less expensive paper, or even the expensive stuff, is to "fan" the stack of paper several times with your thumb, at the end that will face the rollers, and also don't let the stack get down to only 3 or 4 sheets, as the problem is worse near the bottom of the stack. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
