The tech sheet inside the control panel explains how to do this but I will include an abreviated procedure here.
To enter Diagnostic Mode:

  • Turn power off at the console
  • Press and hold the wash temperature down then press thepower button. The machine should give two short beeps.
  • The different levels of information can be extracted by using the spin speed up or the spin speed down buttons.

My Fisher and Paykel washing machine GW 709 pump is not working. In diagnostic mode, it pumps out but in normal cycle it does not pump, even though the pump is running

remove pump check foe anything that may be jamming it,at the same time check the copper windings for any discoloration ,if any replace pump, faulty pumps get hot and after a short time switch off due to a built in thermal cut out

I have a fisher paykel GWL10 washing machine. It shuts off while

At this stage i can suggest that the inlet valve may be faulty & giving off this burning smell.open the control box & see if one of the 2 inlet valves look distorted or brown or burnt looking.I'm wondering if it's not filling very fast also, this could also be an indication of the valve.

FISHER & PAYKEL TOP LOADER WILL NOT GO THROUGH ITS CYCLES AND WILL KEEP BEEPING WHAT IS WRONG?

I just had that problem. Do you have any water inside the washer? if you do drain it. Try running the diagnostic mode to drain the drain pump. then unplug the machine for 10 sec. then run the machine, that should take care of the problem. You'll find the service summary behind the control panel.

Machine won't start

Hi there
i'm not sure if the fisher and paykel machines are any different in new zealand compared to where you live, but the only thing i can think of if it isn't displaying a fault code is if this machine is fitted with a reed switch(these make sure the machine stops if the lid is opened during operation) this may be faulty and staying open causing the machine to stop when the lid is closed. Hope this helps.
