Rangemaster Toledo 110 oven/Grill element

I have recently replaced the oven/grill element as the old one failed. The grill part of the new element works but the oven part of the element does not heat up. I noticed on fitting that there are only 3 wires to the 4 connections. Could it be because of this? I t means that this oven relies on the base element to heat up so never reaches a very high temperature.
Please help!!

Hi,

How easy is it to fit a new grill element. The element on the left hand side of the grill is not working so I need to replace this. I'm just wondering if this is easy to do myself or do I need an
electrician
?
Regards
Sandra

Hi, I have a Rangemaster 110 (electric double oven), which has a double grill. Unfortunately one half of the grill has blown - not working. Is it easy to repair? Thanks a lot - Krisztina

Usually fairly straight forward. Remove the blown element being careful not to loose the wires into the void behind the grill. Insert new element making sure the orientation and wires are conected as the original was.

Grill element not working on rangemaster 110

If grill element not working, switch power off and remove back panel to gain access to wiring. Grill element will be toy element. look for any burnt wire, either blue or brown. Re attach where broken and reassemble. If you have any doubts call a technician. Not to difficult though.

The convection oven of my 110 electric cooker is not coming to temperature, the element goes red eventually when on the grill symbol.

conventional cooking uses the outer/grill element plus there is one under the base of the liner to radiate heat upwards... if the top element is heating then the lower element is faulty thats why it never gets to temperature...

Hi - I have a creda solarplus cooker (48349) - I wish to replace the 8 bar grill element with a 4 bar grill element - can you please advise me of the steps necessary to do same - yours michael clancy

It’s basically as simple as:

Turn off the gas supply to the range.
Turning off the mains power to the range.
Remove the back panel behind the grill.
Remove the 2 power connectors to the grill element.
Remove the earthing wire to the element screw terminal.
Unscrew the grill element securing screws(s) - there will be 1 or 2 depending on the element fitted to your range.
Refit the new element (make sure it has the same mounting screw holes as the one you want to remove) then secure it.
Reconnect the earthing wire to the element screw post.
Make sure that neither of the element tags touch the chassis - check with a continuity tester of ohm meter and adjust if required.
Reconnect the power cables to the element.
Reconnect the power and check that the element works correctly.
Disconnect the mains power again and replace the rear panel(s).
Reconnect the mains power and recheck that the grill functions correctly.
Turn on the gas supply.

Only half the grill is working

There are two elements on the grill, left and right. One has failed and needs replacing. Can't tell you how, we haven't got that far, but we bought replacements from e-Bay £9.99 each + £2.50 P+P. Official suppliers charge £21+.

Cant cook in the oven! Gas Rangemaster double oven 110

Sounds like the oven ignitor is weak and not building up enough resistance to get gas flow.  I would replace the ignitor.
