try restarting it.... if still frozen ... open the back cover and remove the battery... replace it after 10 minutes.... start the phone.. if all is ok then fine else you can soft reset the phone ...if still not working then hard reset the phone...before you try anything back up your phone....check the manual to know how.
It might be a hardware problem, if you already tried the soft reset (removing the battery) then the next step is to hard rest. This will lose all your information and settings, the phone will be like the first day you took it home (and hopefully the screen will work) First make sure the phone is off, then press and hold the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons until you see a message on the screen. Once the message appears release the buttons and press the volume up key for a hard reset. Goodluck!
The Touch Pro 2 has a non-Microsoft Bluetooth v2.1 stack and does mess about with some car kits, especially the built-in factory bluetooth. My car will connect but will not patch the sound through from the phone to the car! It's a pain...
is there the "calendar" and "contacts" menu buttons on the bottom of the black screen?
that's what would happen to me. i just turned off the touchFLO 3D on the today screen (by going to settings, then today screen options) and it seems to not go black anymore... even after being untouched for hours.
not sure if the same thing is happening to you, but it worked for me.
I think I have found out the way to solve this problem! I think! Ok on my phone I changed the power settings. Go to settings>all settings(if on touch flo)>system tab>power>advanced tab> then uncheck the two boxes that says "turn off device if not used for". Hopefully this works because I don't want to trade in my htc for another phone. Try it out and let me know if this works for you or not.
