I have a Maytag washer model #9600eww on spin cycle it won't spin fast, when finished clothes still wet.

I think there is a serious problem with the Maytag MFW9600. We have this SAME problem, it won't spin, just sits there with water still in the drum with an error, until we get a repair person, we shut it off, manually put it on "drain/Spin" and hope for the best. Our washer is only 3 years old, and wouldn't you know, it just started happening weeks after the warranty was up. It also has begun to stink of moldy/mildew smell that seems to come from the drum itself, I have bleached it, did not help. I just "shook" the drum when it was drained

The belt is sliping on spin if not to bad it can be tighten up. but it won't last long. Replace it.
