You can reset the settings to factory defaults via the Advanced menu - it should be in your manual (I have RX-V465). Do it from the standby mode. Press the STANDBY button on front panel (not remote) together with STRAIGHT button on the front panel. Now you are in the Advanced Setup. Scroll to the INIT menu and select ALL. Now you will have all settings in the default.
Hi, Here you can find the manual for your subwoofer. Looking at its back side, it has 2 RCA plug input for stereo. Receiver has just mono sub output, but as low frequencies are not easily locatable, mono is perfectly OK. Just connect receiver SUB-OUTPUT with RCA cable to your subwoofer's RCA LEFT input. Then adjust volume to match rest of your speakers.
When you connect the optical cable to the ps3 you must change the output to optical on the ps3. To do this, startup your ps3 then go to settings then audio output settings and change it to Digital Out (Optical).
If your receiver is saying you only have analog, it must not be able to see the optical input. Check your optical cable, maybe it is damaged or not tight.
