There
are two major reasons that could be causing the touch screen not to be
responding. The first is if the phone fell and the sensor board got bad,
and the best solution is to replace the sensor board. To replace the
sensor board is quite sensitive so i will strongly advice you seek
advice from a specialist that can assist you with that. But if you
intend to fix it DIY way, then you can ask and i will direct you through
the steps.
On the other, it might be the screen is weak and
needs calibration. To calibrate the screen. I will advice you go through the user manual for the steps to
calibrate the screen of your phone. If you cannot get any response from
the screen, i will advice you replace the sensor board. Because
calibration requires you to touch the screen and since it is not
responding to touch, it will be pointless trying to calibrate.
try a soft reset hold power button and middle button at the same time until you see the apple logo...if that doesn't work you could always plug it into itunes and click restore factory settings
Press and hold the Home button and the power button. Do not let go until you see the Apple logo. This shoudl restart your Son's iPhone and make it more responsive.
hey meybe a software that you install in your iphone is that one causing it, try to un install some, and maybe theres not enought space for your iphone, try to delete some.hope it solved your problem.
Have you tried doing a hard shut down? Hold the silver button down on the upper right corner and also the home button (center, bottom indented button) together for about 10 seconds. the phone will completly shut off. then wait about 10 seconds and hold down the upper right hand button until the apple appears on the phone then release the button and wait (20-30seconds) . Doing this usually solves all my issues with my iphone when it gets locked up like this.
Can I ask if you have the following issues:
- Power button will not lock screen
- When resetting the phone you see the apple logo for a few seconds then it resets again and goes into a loop
- iPhone will turn boot when connected to a computer
- when it boots up, the slide to power off screen appears
- no amount of restoring fixes the issue
If so, then your issue is the power button is sticking. I fixed this last night by opening up the iPhone and cleaning out the Power button.
