My Delfi Myfi shuts off periodically for no apparent reason. It always comes back on when I restart it but it's annoying, especially when I'm driving. Is it battery, faulty power cord, or what? I bought this unit in a pawn shop so I have no idea if the battery was replaced during the recall in 2006.
Probably bad power. My roady 2 does it with poor power coming in,like on a really long extension cord with other stuff running while camping or something. Or using the car adapter with cheap 12v cig lighter to 110ac adapter.

You may have a switch that may be bad. For the sound level high and low may need new tubes or possibly may not be seated fully into position. These tubes due get quite hot and do get loose over a period of time.Hope this helps.
Hello krazzygurl. There are a multitude of problems that can create your car to quit. You will need to find out what system is shutting down to begin to home in on the problem. Mechanics will usually start at either ignition failure or fuel delivery failure and then home in on the cause. You did not mention hard starting first trip of the day so I will hazard an educated guess here. You said it shuts down after you get going so I suspect it will be an ignition issue. The most common problems in these vehicles of those years was either a crankshaft position sensor or an ignition module that once heated would go open circuit. Then when cooled off sufficiently the car would restart. If you have further questions please leave them in "ad comments" and I will return to check.
I had a similar problem for a year and spoke to the pump designer. We ultimately solved it as there was a spring valve in the heat pump I have. ANy type of spring valve is a problem for the intelliflo as the pump is tooo intelligent. When the spring opens and closes it makes the pump think that there is a blockage and it reacts by shutting off.
The solution is to replace all spring valves although I was able to use a manual valve just before the spring valve to reduce the flow so that the spring would not move and thus impact the pump.
Sounds like the battery is not charging. My solution was to use a small screwdriver to move the charger pin in the power adapter hole in the under off center. That gave it better contact, it began to charge properly and fixed my issue.
I had a similar problem with my 92. It would stop for no apparent reason and fail to restart. It ended up 4 times being the connector to the fuel safety shut off switch becoming disconnected. We just pushed it back together (after the first time and $35). It is located under the front passenger side carpeting at the top on the firewall.
my dad had this problem with his ram. it started having problems like yours, starting right back up. but after a few month of this, it woudn't start back up and the display read "no bus". it turned out to be a bad computer. he had to replace it.
Sometimes this will fix itself if you take the battery out. Otherwise, the best way seems to be to empty the memory, and start all over, recording on a blank slate. These are really pretty awful machines, with endless problems.
The on/off switch on mine just broke, and I say "good riddance."
