SOURCE: Left headphone does not work properly

Hi,

Based on your post/description, it would seem that the cable of your head phone developed an open circuit somewhere. I would assume it is pretty near the headset itself. On most occasion, it is at the very entry point where the cable goes into the headset.

Normal repair would involve opening the side casing where the cable enters the headset, cutting the cable about 3 inches from entry point, strip exposing the three or 4 wires and reconnecting inside the stripped ends. Effectively what you have done is trim the cable a bit shorter eliminating hopefully the intermittent section.

Hope this be of help/idea, Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good l;uck and kind regards.

Try changing the Windows Default Audio devices

  1. Go to control Panel
  2. Sounds and audio devices
  3. The Audio tab
  4. Then change the Sound Recording Device to Logitech Headphone INPUT
Hopefully this will work

SOURCE: My headphones work, my mic does not(at all)

Have you gone to your control panel, and found the "speech recognition" option? If you havent tried it, do that. It wil have you recite a sentence and then should conifgure your mic to your computer. I hope this helps!

1. right click on the speaker icon and go to recording devices 2. select any of the microphones in the list 3. click on properties 4. go to the levels tab 5. unmute your microphone and voila..microphone works :)

Why no more sound in left side? the right side is fine. i moved the left side like a seesaw, then i found where the sound occur. is it the wire connection problem inside the left side? what to do?

Opened up one of the earcups and dont ask me how it was just by force. The cable that connects the 2.5 to the speaker is frail and there is quite a bit of shielded cable that can rub against each other over time. I fixed it by removing the cable and soldering in two separate cables of similar size.

My left earphone does not work and I just bought them today

Hi,

Unfortunately quite a common problem with all headphones this!

It is caused by a faulty wire in the headphone. It can be fixed by resoldering/replacing the wire.

However it is normally cheaper (and easier) to return the headphones to the shop you bought them from. Especially if they are new like yours are.

I would advise you to return the item to the shop as faulty and ask for a replacement.

The Right side does not work.

i just bought the turtle beach x1's and had the same problem only it was the left side not the right and i was pushing the green audio connector cable to close together with the av componet connector and just slightly removed the audio cable from the av connector cable basically just slightly remove the headphones from the connection port on whatever you are connecting it to if that dosent work then most likely you have a lose connetion port on your device and will need to replace it or replace the device alltogether if the port can not be replaced.

Headphones not playing in iPod

This is either cause by a damaged headphone socket in the iPod or a loose connection. The only way to solve it will involve opening the iPod case and inspecting the daughter board that the headphone socket is on.
