Brand new acer aspire 5738G model NoMS2264 blue power light comes on but screen is blank as if it has no power to it. Please help, cheers. (Limited Tech Knowledge)
Your new computer has a defective screen. Return it to place of purchase and return it.
Try to check the rams ,
check it in safe mode and check by changing the SATA mode in BIOS.

sorry not sure how to do that, I have just connected a cable from the laptop to another laptop, whats next please
Basically I can press the power button and the power light comes on, I can hear the fan and the laptop sound as if it is starting, other buttons on the keyboard light up when pressed etc, but its just the display screen that is black and lifeless. the funtion buttons seen to have no effect on the laptop screen either along with pressing Ctrl Alt Del to try and re-boot. I have had the laptop on both battery power and external power. No joy.
check if the display is comming on an external monitor.
