No electric output, how do I diagnose, capacitor, proper winding check etc.

Have you tried flashing your generator? Sometimes the magnets in the generator loose their polarity. Google and YouTube "flashing a generator"
HFLASHING the GEN

Sometimes the magnets lose their polarity. This worked on my brothers $1200 gen. Its worth a try. Good luck!
Check all wires/connections first, Then try this-
(Remove spark plug wire first!)
To flash the field on a small home use generator, get an ext. cord & cut off the female end of it & strip the wires & connect the wires to a 12 volt car or lawn tractor battery, & plug the male end of the cord, into the 120 A.C. side of the generator.

Make SURE that the black wire which is POS/HOT on an A.C. cord, gets connected to the RED/POS. side of the auto battery, & the white wire on A.C. cord gets connected to the BLK./NEG. side of the battery. If the ext. cord wires are not black & white, then the smaller prong of the plug is the POS./HOT

Plug the other end of the ext. cord into the generators 120 volt side (**remove spark plug wire**) & pull the starter cord 4-5 times, then remove the ext. cord, reconnect the spark plug wire, start the unit & plug something of 120 A.C. volts in to see if it works. Then let it run for about a half hour with 2 - 150 watt lights to help re-generate the unit.

How to replace the cord in dyson's dc07

Things You Will Need

  • Dyson DC07 power cord

  • T15 Torx-bit screwdriver

  • Small can

  • Camera or cell phone with camera

  • Flat-head screwdriver, 3/4-inch or smaller

  • Needle-nose pliers

Tips

  • Do detach the black wire that goes to the motor as it does not require removal.

Warnings

  • Do not work on the power cord when it is plugged in.

  • Do not force the plastic-covered connectors from the switch or you could break the male ends. Pull them off firmly but gently to avoid breaking the terminals.

  • Do not apply too much force to the plastic arms that hold the housing in place. The plastic arms are fragile and may break easily.

References

1 - Unwrap the power cord from the Dyson DC07. Detach the handle of the vacuum cleaner by pressing the release button. Pull the handle from the hose. Slide the hose down the wand and push the button at the bottom to release the hose from the machine.

2 - Press the button at the top of the dust bin handle to remove the canister bin assembly from the Dyson DC07.

3 - Lay the machine on with its back with the power switch facing upward. Locate the Torx screw directly beneath the switch actuator. Remove the Torx screw, turning it counterclockwise. Place the screw into a small can so you do not lose it.

4 - Remove the switch box housing held in place by the Torx screw just removed. Carefully pry upward on the two plastic arms that clip the housing in place. Take a picture with your cellphone or camera of the open housing to make it easier to reinstall the wires where they belong in the channels and spaces provided.

5 - Center the needle-nose pliers on the female connectors from the power cord attached to the switch. Apply equal force to pull them from the male ends of the switch. Also detach the two wires that connect together within the housing, identified by the clear plastic connector between them. Depending on your machine\'s manufacture date, the wires might have different colors. For example, they may be white and brown, all white or one could be blue. Disconnect a total of four wires -- two from the switch and the two connected together. Leave the other wires alone.

6 - Trace the electrical cord on the machine until you reach its protective cover where it enters the Dyson DC07. Lift up the cord protector to remove it from the vacuum. The cord protector has slotted sides that fit within the plastic. Slide the cord protector from the power cord.

7 - Remove the plastic covers that protect the female ends on the power-cord wires that connect to the switch. The new power cord does not come with these. Insert the tip of the flat-head screwdriver through the top of the plastic connector with two internal ridges. Lift upward and away to pull the wire free from the connector. Repeat for the other wire. Push the female end into the plastic connector until it snaps into place. Repeat for the other power-cord wire.

8 - Thread the new power cord through the cord protector. If you have trouble pushing the wires through, reach in with the needle-nose pliers to pull both wires through the rubber protector.

9 - Reconnect the two separated wires back together by inserting the male end into the female end of the other wire. Reconnect the two wires from the power cord to the switch. Reinstall the switch housing on the machine. Align the wires in the channels provided to keep them from being pinched or pulled out when you reassemble the housing. Look at the photo you took earlier as a guide, if necessary. Insert the wire that goes to the motor in this channel and the white wires connected together to the left of the switch in the area provided.

10 - Put on the switch housing cover and secure it with the screw you removed earlier. Reassemble the vacuum in the reverse order you dismantled it.

How to replace the wiper motor on a 1994 volkswagon golf

The wiper motor on a Volkswagen is an electric motor connected through a drive linkage to the wiper arms. Windshield wipers are an integral feature for operating a motor vehicle safely. If your wipers are not functioning, or seem to lack the speed or power they used to have, the wiper motor should be removed and replaced immediately
.

Location
  • The wiper motor on a Volkswagen is located directly underneath the plastic cowl cover. The cowl cover is located directly below the windshield.

Removal
  • Begin by removing the wiper arms by prying off the covers at the base of the arms and removing the nuts that secure the arms to the drive shafts. Label the passenger and driver arms so they can be installed in the same positions. They are not interchangeable. Remove the rubber hood to cowl weather seal. Unscrew the plastic fasteners from the driver's side of the cowl cover, then remove this half of the cover. Remove the fasteners from the passenger's side cowl cover and remove this half of the cover. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor wiring harness by separating the plastic wiring connector. Remove the three bolts that secure the wiper motor to the vehicle's body. Pull the motor slightly away from the body, then remove the nut that connects the motor shaft to wiper linkage. Remove the motor.

Installation
  • Place the new wiper motor into position in the cowl and reconnect it to the wiper arm linkage. Then reinstall the three retaining bolts. Reconnect the plastic wiring connector to the wiper motor wiring harness. Place the cowl covers into position below the windshield and reinstall the plastic fasteners that retain them. Reinstall the rubber hood to the cowl weather seal. Reinstall the wiper arms in the same position you removed them from, along with the wiper arm retaining nuts and lower wiper arm covers. Turn the windshield wipers on and test for proper operation. If the wiper blades slap against the bodywork surrounding the windshield, loosen the nuts that connect the wiper arms to the shafts and adjust.

Changing the LCD lamps

You may follow the below mentioned steps to replace the lamps :

1. Power off the LCD TV. Unplug the AC power cord from the television and the electrical socket or power strip.
2. Locate the plastic or rubber grommets or screw hole covers on the rear edges of the LCD TV. Use an awl or small flat head screwdriver remove the rubber pieces from the screw holes by gently inserting the tool into the hole and prying out the cap. Note that on a few LCD TVs, the grommets or screw hole covers may be on the front face of the unit.
3. Loosen and remove the screws in the holes from which you removed the plastic or rubber grommets. Set the screws aside and keep them together.
4. Remove the plastic shield that protects the input ports on the rear of the TV if the unit has one. To remove the shield, use the awl to pry the plastic tabs loose or remove the retaining screws with the screwdriver.
5.Use the flat head screwdriver or awl to separate the front and rear pieces of the monitor casing. Start on the lower edge of the casing and gently pry the two pieces apart. Work your way around the outer edge of the television and separate the tabs until you can pull the front face off the casing. Remove the front bezel piece from the television.
6. Locate the inverter board below the LCD screen on the TV. The inverter board is small circuit board with wire connector plugs on either side. Disconnect the plug on the right side of the inverter board that leads to the backlight lamp bulb.
7. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the edges of the LCD screen that attach it to the rear part of the TV casing. After you remove all of the screws that secure the LCD screen, place the screen face down on a soft towel.
8. Remove the screws that secure the back light lamp in its track. If the wire leading from the back light lamp to the inverter board uses clamps or ties to secure the cable, disconnect or remove them. Remove the backlight lamp from the TV casing.
9. Insert the new backlight lamp into the track and secure with the retaining screws you removed from the old bulb assembly. Run the wire through the clamps or ties as needed to position the wire plug next to the inverter board.
10. Realign the LCD screen with the screw holes in the rear part of the TV casing. Insert the retaining screws and tighten them. Connect the wire plug from the back light lamp to the inverter board.
11. Replace the front part of the TV casing and snap into place. Reinsert the retaining screws in the holes on the rear of the TV and tighten with the Phillips screwdriver. Replace the plastic or rubber grommets and push them into place securely.
12. Reconnect the AC power cord and plug it into the wall socket. Power on the TV and use normally.

How do you change the power cord on the Hoover u5475-900 Wind Tunnel 6200? Thanks for your help.

This procedure worked for replacing the cord on my Hoover U6425-900. At a minimum, you will need a number 2 Phillips screwdriver, wire cutter, and two electrical wire nuts and electrical tape. Remove the accessory tools from the storage compartment. Remove two screws, these are recessed. Remove the cover from the bag compartment, remove two screws located at top corners of bag compartment. You may have to open the side filter door but the accessory tool storage compartment should be free at this point and can be removed. You should see the power cord and related wiring. If you have a digital camera you could take a photo at this point in case you need a point of reference. Make note of the power cord strain relief routing and length of wire. Too much wire will make reattaching the storage compartment difficult and the routing prevents the cord from being pulled out.
On my model the wiring colors were purple, orange and white. My replacement cord had black and white wires. The orange wire will not be involved in cord replacement. Using the wire cutters clip the purple wire about three inches back from the existing terminal. If present, clip the two nylon wire ties and discard. The white wire will have a crimped on wire connector. Clip the white wire about three inches back from the existing wire connector. The old power cord can be removed by pulling it out from the rear, it should just slide out of the rubber insulating boot. If not use a set of pliers and crimp the boot from the wiring side and push it outside the vacuum housing. If you have to do this make sure you slip the boot over the replacement cord before you insert the new cord back into the vacuum housing. Remove about a half inch of insulation from the purple and white wires and from your replacement cord unless it was supplied with insulation already removed. Use new wire nuts and connect the white wires. Use the other wire nut and connect the purple wire to the remaining new power cord wire. Use some electrical tape and wrap the nuts to the wires a couple of times so they won't loosen. Make sure you route the power cord around the posts as this is the strain relief and prevents the cord from being pulled out. Reassemble and test.

My Schwin 430 power cord socket went inside the machine. Please advice how to power the machine.

There should be a series of phillips head screws (star) holding the black casing together. If you remove the 2 or 3 screws along the immediate front of the case, you should be able to open it up just enough to see the outlet. It's a small plastic piece about the size of a grape attached by two wires (red and black). The outside of the outlet is threaded so when it's pushed through the hole, you thread a nut on the outside to hold it in place. If you've lost the nut, you can easily tape the outlet in place, or just run the ac adapter cord in through the hole in the case, use the opening at the front you made by removing the screws and plug it in on the inside to power it. Replace the screws and just make sure you keep anyone from yanking on the power cord.

No power to Dyson Animal

Hi There,

I'm almost 100% positive that the cord on your Dyson DC07 Animal has shorted out and needs to be replaced. Usually what causes this spark, and cord failure is when the cord is pulled out of the wall to hard. I have to admit that I'm guilty of doing this same thing. If I'm on the other side of the room from the plug, and I need to change plugs, I have been known to try and swing the cord out of the plug, and I have myself burned through a cord or two. The spark is usually caused when the wires inside of the plug touch each other, or short circuit.

No worries, this is not an expensive, or difficult repair to do. Here's what you'll need in order to complete this repair:

- T15 Torx Bit Screw Driver
- Dyson DC07 Power Cord For All DC07 Models, Part 905449.
- A 2mm or Smaller Flat Head Screwdriver (width of the tip)
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Patience (haha)

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOUR VACUUM IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE!

Step 1. First thing you'll want to do is to unwrap the cord from the machine, and remove the handle from the upright part, then slide the hose all the way down the wand, and remove the hose from the handle assembly completely and set it aside. Also remove the dust bin assembly completely from the machine as well.

86bdf5c.jpg

Step 2. Once you've remove the handle from the machine I find it easier to work on if you lay the vacuum on it's back, with the switch button facing upwards. Now remove the T15 Torx bit screw that is directly below the switch actuator. I have circled the location of this screw in the picture below:

080ce87.jpg

Step 3: After you have taken off the screw, you're doing to need to remove the switch box housing from the vacuum that the screw was securing. Simply use your flat head screw driver, and pry the two small arms upwards. Be careful when prying, the plastic components on Dyson vacuums are really cheap quality plastic, and I can't tell you how many times I have seen these plastic parts break. Here's a picture of the location of where you should pry the switching off:

357199b.jpg
Here's what the vacuum should look like after the switch housing has been removed:

eb76162.jpg

Step 4. Use your needle nose plyers to remove the terminals from both of the switch poles. Also be careful when removing these terminals, don't force it or it will break the pole right off of the switch, and you'll then have to replace the switch along with the cord. Also you'll need to remove the two white wires that are connected together apart, also using your needle nose plyers.

0ebca47.jpg

Step 5. After you've removed the two terminals connected to the switch, as well as the two white wires that were connected, follow the electrical cord up until the point that it enters the vacuum cleaner to the rubber cord protector. Lift straight up on this cord protecter to remove it from the vacuum.

90104f6.jpg

Step 6. You'll have to now slide the cord out through the cord protector so that you may install the protector on your new cord. Unfortunately as you'll see, your new cord does not come with the plastic terminal protectors that are on the end of the wires, so you'll need to take off these plastic ends on both the black, and the white wires that come from the cord. The other wire that you see in there that has a white wire with no plastic cover, and a black wire that does have the plastic terminal. There's no need to remove the plastic terminal from the wire that runs down into your motor, just leave these alone. If you look closely at these plastic terminal covers, you'll see that one side of them have two little ridges on the inside, also that the bottom is flat, and the top rises upwards on one end. To remove these plastic parts, use your 2mm flat head screwdriver and insert it through the top part that has the two ridges on the indside. While your screw driver is in as far as it will go, lift upwards away from the wire while pulling out the wire at the same time. Repeat this on the other wire as well.

5d505de.jpg
his is how the wires look like without the terminals:

d0ba44f.jpg
Step 7. After remove the plastic terminal covers from the wires, pull the cord through the rubber cord protector and remove your old cord. Open your new cord, and now you'll have to feed the two wires through the cord protector. Simply push the cord through the ribbed end of the cord protector. You normally can push the cord hard enough so that the ends of the wires will come out the other end fairly easy. If the wires don't come out, use your needle nose plyers to pull the metal ends of the wires through the rubber cord protector.

Step 8. Reconnect the wires to the switch, as well as connecting the two white wires together. Here's how the wiring should look like when done properly:

2a63631.jpg
Step 9. After reconnecting the wires to the switch, and to the other white wire, you'll need to put the switch back in place, along with the cords, and the cord proector. You can see little channels that the cords actually sit in to keep them from pulling out. Place both the wire on the bottom that goes to the motor, as well as the electrical cord into these channels. The two white wires that are connected together go to the left of the switch. Here's how it should look like when you're finished:

df00511.jpg

Simply put the switch housing cover back over the switch and cords, and screw the Torx bit back in, and then test the vacuum to make sure that the cord works.

I hope that this repair was helpful to you with fixing the cord on your Dyson DC07. Admiral Clean-O-Matic oven: Power cord black red white ground?

Your terminal block has been by-passed .
Hook your black cord wire to the black screw on the terminal block.
Hook your white wire to the white screw on the terminal block. Hook the bare ground to the exterior ground screw.
The 2 wires that are wire-nutted together will have to hook to the red wire on the cord.(they originally went to the third connection on the terminal).
You will probably have to cut and strip the red cord wire and attach it with the 2 wire-nutted connections.

Fuel Pump

it is not necessary to drop the tank. In the boot, on the left, you can see a cover towards the back seat. The carpet cover need to be removed first. Unscrew the four nuts and you can see the all the hoses connected. You need the special tool to unscrew the black plastic cap. The pump is attached to the floater. Ensure that before fixing to check the plastic head at the vacuum return head is not crack and replacement is needed for new rubber seal on tightening the black plastic cap. After all done, check on possible fumes leakage.
