Savin c9025/ ricoh mp2550 prints dull after changing toner

Download the software associated with the printer from the manufacturer web site to make sure you have the latest version. If this doesn't fix the problem you may have to buy a new print head for the printer. Also try taking the cartridge out and shaking it vigorously.

I have an old ricoh aficio cl2000n. The printing is spotty at best. The colors seem to print though. I put in a new black toner cartridge and it still didn't clear up the problem. I emptied the...

I can give my opinion for free :) lol
You are saying that you have changed the Toner Bottle? Or the fotoconductor Unit (or drum Unit)?
Is your machine cleaned? What do you mean about spotty? Is it with dots?
From what you are saying i can only think that your drum unit Bk is faulty...

Well... i am not giving you much help... but is free right? lol

Change the fotoconductor and give the feedback

I have just changed my black ink cartridge however still patchy

Typically you do not have to change the color cartridge when you replace the black cartridge.
As far as the spotty printing, it sounds like you have some clogged nozzles caused by the lower quality of ink in refilled or aftermarket cartridges. There cartridge inks may not be up to specification. This is especially true for the ultra fine printers.
To clear the problem you need to insert an OEM cartridge, run the deep nozzle cleaning utiliity at least twice followed by the alignment utility. This should clear up the problem with the spotty and washed out printout.
Let me know if this solves your problem otherwise we can explore other solutiions. For the record, which printer do you have?
Please rate this solution. Thanks.

Cyan cartridge prints spotty.

Your print head is probably clogged. If you have already tried the cleaning cycle, it's time to take the printer into an Epson repair center to find out what the problem is. More than likely they will have to replace the print head.

My Canon Pixma MP500 is printing only black.

Hey, Sound like something is wrong with the color cartridge. Replace the color one and try again. If that fails you might have to replace the printer as it doesn't sound like the problem is software related.
