If the paper feed lever is stuck in the up position keeping you from inserting the drawer, try opening the lower panel on the left side where the paper feeds from the tray.

First remove the screw on the right hand side that allows you access to the power cable for the feed unit. Unplug this cable (should have yellow wires). Once this is unplugged the arm should drop back down.

To totally remove the paper feed unit, remove the two screws on the left side and one more on the right hand side that was under the cover as well. This will allow you to remove the paper feed unit to inspect for damage.

Unplugging the unit caused the arm to drop in mine.

The paper feed panel is lower panel on right side, not left.

Problem to put the cartridge tray to printer Canon LBP 5050

  • Canon LBP5050 printer does not have a cartridge tray. Instead, it uses individual toner cartridges for each color (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) that are inserted into specific slots inside the printer.
To replace a toner cartridge in the Canon LBP5050, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the front cover is open.
  2. Locate the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced. Each cartridge is labeled with the corresponding color.
  3. Hold the handle of the cartridge and gently pull it out of the printer.
  4. Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging and shake it gently to distribute the toner.
  5. Remove the protective cover from the cartridge.
  6. Hold the handle of the new cartridge and insert it into the corresponding slot in the printer.
  7. Push the cartridge all the way in until it clicks into place.
  8. Repeat this process for any additional cartridges that need to be replaced.
Once all of the toner cartridges have been replaced, close the front cover of the printer. The printer should automatically recognize the new cartridges and begin the toner replacement process.

Close the drawer on a Canon Imagerunner5000?

Depending on which drawer? The machine has two LCT drawers.(large capacity tray) They use a cable lift that lifts a plate,I have seen the cable break. Its on the back of the tray. In the rail that it rides on there are two screws on either side of the tray .remove and the tray lifts straight out. If the pick up rlrs are down it won't go in. If its one of the two lower trays ? They use I lift arm that lifts the paper plate. If the the lift arm is in the up position this will keep them from going in. I have seen it being as simple as a screw that has backed out keeping the customer from being able to re install a tray. If its a arm just try resetting power. I also have seen one of the paper side fences or guides popped up and out of position cause it. Look for the oblivious and keep it simple. one of the mentioned has happened. I have seen a screw on the frame sides a screw cause it. 5000 is a older unit and the screws are loosening up. Or to long of screw put back in is possible.

I have a DS601 v2 dishwasher drawer that has suddenly stopped cleaning the dishes. The drain filter isn't completely emptying either. I've taken all the parts out and cleaned them bit this made no...

There are a few things that can cause this.
If there are no error messages being displayed during the cycle, the most common ones are:
1) Loose Impeller on the motor rotor. Check it by removing the drain filter, dish rack, spray arm and main wash filter (the giant stainless steel circular one), then twist the motor to the left and it should just pop out. If you hold the bottom of the motor in one and and the larger impeller on top freely spins, this is your problem.
2) Crack in the side of the spray arm. If the spray arm is separated, then the water pressure will being spraying sideways, rather than up to your dishes.
3) Too much fat or protein built up inside. This happens when you put too much eggs and milky stuff in there. Just run it for a cycle with detergent but no dishes. DO NOT use one of those dishwasher cleaner things in a dish drawer, they do more harm than good due to the fact that they are designed for a dishwasher with double the capacity of yours.

Kenmore refrigerator model # 596.75522400 bottom frizer. Frizer works ok but refrigeratot does no get cold.

If the freezer is cold, it is probably the evaporator fan motor or the damper. The damper is the easiest to check.

Inside the refrigerator compartment, top, center, back is a small plastic grill that snaps out of a larger plastic housing. Tug gently from the bottom edge. You should see a small damper door. If it is closed, push it open. If you feel a flow of air, the fan motor is good and the problem probably has something to do with the damper not opening. If you do not feel the flow of air, it is probably the evaporator fan motor.

If it is likely the damper, you can prop it open to get the refrigerator compartment cold again until you can solve the damper problem. I have not had to solve this problem yet, so good luck.

I've had problems with evaporator motors in every Kenmore appliance I've owned. So, it is probably the evaporator fan motor. The motor is just above the evaporator coils inside the freezer compartment.
Lift out the baskets and lift off the drawer front. Remove the drawer slide mechanism buy depressing a single plastic clip on each side as you pull the slide forward.

I just bought a house with a Kenmore stainless steel bottom drawer freezer. The freezer drawer does not close completely and large amounts of snow and ice accumulate inside. I have taken the drawer out,...

Check top see if the arms of the drawer are fully seated into the rails which support it and extend from inside the freezer when the drawer is opened. On most french door refrig's, there are hooks on the back side and tabs on the front side which are sometimes hard to get back in. Then the door is locked into the rail with a screw at the point where the rail meets the freezer door.

Upper spray arm failure

Easy to solve!
(1) Remove the drawers to give yourself room to work
(a) bottom drawer just comes right out -- but you knew that
(b) Carefully unclip small plastic retainer caps at the ends of the metal "glides" for the top drawer. Then slide the caps out of the glides. Then remove the top drawer.
(2) Unscrew the "gear-like" plastic fitting into whose hole you were sticking your finger when you felt that small cylindrical ring.
(3) Now that you've got access to the ring, the solution is obvious -- use it to snap the upper arm back into the gear-like fitting. When you're done, the arm will rotate freely in the fitting.
(4) Put everything back together and enjoy the fact that you didn't have to pay some yobbo $75 to come to your hous and do this for you!

(HINT: When screwing the gear-like fitting back into place, use the old machinist's trick of pressing gently and screwing backwards until you feel a click. The threads will now be aligned for you to screw things together the right way. If you do not do this, you might experience frustration reattaching fitting -- since the piece it screws onto is spring loaded.)

Sub-Zero 642 ice maker

When the drawer is opened, trhe "full arm" swings up and out of the way. When the drawer is pushed back closed, the arm should swing back down. If it is unobstructed, the icemaker should make ice.

One thing to try is with the ice tray removed, push the plate (that holds the ice tray) back into the freezer. Lift the full arm up and down. It should easily move and you should be able to hear a slight "click" when moving up/down. If not, you might have a bad switch in the ice maker unit...replacement time.

Canon PC770 Paper Tray Does not Close Completely

After numerous attempts, the drawer finally slid in and worked --- until today.

New problem - drawer wouldn't come out and indicator showed the paper was out when machine had paper.

Removed screws from bottom of copier - couldn't completely remove the metal plate, but was able to pull it out enough to allow the paper drawer to be removed. Only thing that could be seen as potential problem was a spring hanging down the back that did not seem to be attached to anything. (heavy duty, about 7" long and 1/2 inch diament)

Removed screw, replaced screws in bottom plate - drawer slid in fine - turned on and ran copies just fine. Don't know what the spring was for - but copier is working for the moment.

Bottom drawer does not properly close

Okay, I fixed it for now. The design for this bottom freezer drawer is not good. What happened was most likely that my son slammed the door, and it bounced and was slightly open. Overnight, ice started to form all over the compartment, including inside the drawer guides. Some ice was probably obstructing the drawer glide from sliding shut.

What I did, not thinking this was the solution, was to prop chairs against the drawer to close it while I searched for answers on the Internet. In the meantime, some of this ice must have refrozen in the closed position (due to the weight of the chairs). When I went to check it later, I had a little trouble opening the drawer. I gave it a hard yank and some small frost flew off, as I opened the drawer.

It was not easy sliding it due to the frost. I then moved it out and in until it felt smooth, and finally closed the drawer and it stayed in the shut position.

Kids are instructed to close the drawer gently and visually check that it is sealed. There is also an air passage between the refrigerator unit and the freezer so that when you close the double french doors, some air pushed to the freezer section and momentarily pops the drawer open. You should make sure that the drawer closes before leaving the kitchen. If you are on vacation, prop chairs to make sure both the freezer drawer and the french doors stay closed. This is important if you're in an earthquake area as a small tremor could open the doors and you'll get a fire when the lights stay on and burn through the wiring (as others have noted).
