The printer worked on everything but scan; when you pushed the scan button the screen would say "scanning" but nothing happened. I ran the install disk again and it gives you an option of fix problems and this worked for me. - Jim

Call kodak @ 1800 421 6699. This step involves advanced troubleshooting and is related with the scanner drivers of the Printers. Kodak telephone support will take care of the issue.

    These printers are HORRIBLE!!! IT IS LOUD!!! WE HAVE HAD IT FOR 2 DAYS, ALL WE HAVE HAD IS PROBLEMS. I appreciate the phone # info. Of course, now that I am already aggrivated with this stupid thing, now I have to sit on hold.

    Try to scan using Microsoft Paint.. Type Mspaint in the start search box and then click on file and then from scanners or cameras and see if u can scan. Might be downloading new software from Kodak website will help U.
    I am no more associated with kodak but Know of the problems that the customers have been facing.. All d best.

    @destinessoul,omg! u r a legend!it worked! but somehow the scanned page is unreadable.before I didn't have problem with scanning I don't know what is going on:(

Leave the rear cover off, then spam the OK button if the error message remains on. I did that maybe 10 times in rapid succession, then hear a very distinctive CLICK in the back of the printer. I replaced the cover, the hit OK, the printer cycled through startup, and now it's operating normally.

Hi. To make sure that the product hardware is functioning correctly, use the product to make a photocopy. If you cannot make a copy, this solution will not help resolve the issue.

Solution 1:
Follow these steps to restart the product and the computer. NOTE: Make sure that the product connects directly to an electrical outlet and not through a surge protector or power strip.
  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Press the Power button to turn off the product.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Press the Power button to turn the product back on.
  6. Try the scan again
Solution 2

1. Replace the USB cable.
2 .Try the scan again.

Solution 3
Fully uninstall and resintall the software and driver of Kodak printer

Workaround:

Try installing the printer to Windows XP environment just to prove functionality and test incompatibility issues. Might be your printer is icompatible with MAC OS. This will also prove if printer is working or not.
