Pots/pan light blinks alternately with the normal wash button. Sometimes the cycle will start and then the lights come on. Once they start blinking, the cycle stops and I can't get it to start again. Unplugging it for a few days has worked a few times. But it just keeps getting more frequent. If it does start up, it heats fine and washes perfectly.

There is a trouble shooting document behind the kick panel at the bottom of the machine. Follow the steps to determine which component is at fault. It could be corrosion at the P1 connector:
My whirlpool dishwasher gold GU2475XTVQ0 had rapid blinking lights that started with the "4 Hour Delay" LED and changed to others when other buttons were pressed. The machine would not run. I followed the instructions located behind the kick panel and verified the keypad was the issue and not the control circuit by elimination.
The big surprise for me was that when I used a straight pin to resistance check all of the buttons, they checked out OK. I reconnected the 14 pin connector (P1) to the control and found that the buttons/LEDs were behaving correctly! I believe that pushing the straight pin into the 14 pin connector removed any corrosion in the 10 year old device and permitted the keypad to communicate with the control again.
I reassembled the dishwasher door and it ran with no problems. I was ready to replace the keypad for $150, but didn't have to!

SOURCE: Quick Rinsw button blinking

I may have fixed my similar problem- I opened up the machine to get access to the control panel as tech17 advised- then in addition to disconnecting the mylar ribbon, I disconnected all the connections to the control panel.... keep in mind to ensure not to confuse any of the connectors you disconnect. Running a cycle at this time... seems as if working.. can't tell if water is running or just the motor- -- HA! -- i confirmed no water being pumped in.... We then found a float switch (Item 30 on schematic) that got loose from its casing on the front interior right lower side... we put that switch into its proper place and now ALL IS WELL!!!! Yippee!!!

Try resetting it. Locate the switch in your breaker box, and flip it off- then on again. Hope that works!

Hi there, can you put it through the pots and pans wash cycle , see if it works with that first ?

also the drainage pipe might be blocked making the normal cycles unusable.
you might need to get in a plumber or somebody that can unblock a pipe.

Hope this helps .

Kenmore Ultra Wash 665 dishwasher: start button not lighing

It sounds like you have a bad control console, and the problem is that your START button (the most critical one!) is bad. You can't replace just that button or key; you have to replace the entire control console.

Pots/pans and normal wash cycle lights blinking fast and soak/scoure continuously lit and start light blinking slow all at the same time. Tried cutting power to reset, it didn't work.

Hello,

Normally removing the power will clear this error code, if not the touch pad is bad. This is a simple repair, you can watch a video that explains how to repair this yourself at the link below.

Miele g892 and just like everyone the red light comes on and dishwasher stops running> why cant you answer thic common problem>

The red light tell you there is a fault. You have to read the fault code and it will give you a general idea of the problem - to do this you have to enter the service mode of operation - close the door and turn the dishwasher on.
The Start/Stop light must be blinking. If the Start/Stop light is not blinking, press and hold
the Start/Stop button for at least 3 seconds to exit the cycle. The Start/Stop light should now be blinking.

Press and hold the Start/Stop button while turning the dishwasher on. Release the
Start/Stop button and immediately press it 2 more times. Flashing Intake/Drain and
Salt lamps and a lit Rinse lamp indicates successful accessing of services mode

Kenmore Dishwasher #15769

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.
