Too much grounds or not running through fast enough. Right filters? basket flow hole vlesr? Sounds like it's backing up and flooding causing the grounds to get by yje filter. If you dare, **** the hole out just a tad. with the end of a sharp knife. not too much. You can always take out mor. This is called consuner calibration. Good Luck -Ned-

Overflowing coffee maker

could be using incorrect filters for a different coffee maker, sorry if this sounds obvious but this is the first thing i would think it was unless the water flow is adjustable and coming through quicker than the filter can drain it through

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

An instruction booklet is available here: http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

My DGB-700BC cuisinart coffee maker grinds beans but then gets stuck and will not continue brew cycle. keeps beeping. please help!!!

We bought our Cuisinart 12 cup grind n brew less than a year ago. Almost as soon as we started using it we began having problems with it hanging up between the grinding and brewing cycles. It would sit and click. I tinkered with it incessantly and usually could, after fiddling long enough with the filter lid, get it to brew, but it was aggravating, to say the least.
When one morning it would NOT work I called Cuisinart and was relieved to hear that there is apparently a problem with some of the filter lids not seating properly. They are sending us a new one. The rep I spoke with told me that if this did not work they would replace the unit, so at least it sounds like their customer service may be on the ball.
So, call Cuisinart for a replacement of your filter lid and see if that solves your problem.

Cuisinart grind and brew

This happens when the machine needs cleaned. Fill coffee maker with white vineger instead of water. Turn grind off, make sure empty pot is in place. Brew a pot of hot vineger. Repeat. Brew a pot of hot water. Repeat. This process removes mineral buildups inside machine. If you have access to filtered water, start using that to brew your coffee. I do and probably do this process 1 per 6 weeks.

Machine shuts off after beans are ground & sometimes when pot is 1/4 full

You have not missed anything. Unplugging for longer than 16 minutes (has 15-minute memory) is the only troubleshooting you can perform. Call Cuisinart to find out if you are still in warranty. Serial number is engraved onto the very bottom of the coffee maker - hard to read. All electronics have a failure rate. Cuisinart's is acceptably low, but their coffee makers are the least reliable of all their products. The basic problem with electronic coffee makers is that coffee makers produce high heat, and high heat kills electronics and melts plastic. At least Cuisinart has a 3-year warranty - higher than the industry standard.

Let me put it another way. All coffee makers have a high failure rate. As many Cuisinart coffee makers that break down, the non-Grind-and-Brews still have a 91 rating from Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports doesn't give ANYTHING a 91 rating. A lot break, but you probably won't fare much better by switching to a different brand. The problem with a Cuisinart breaking down is that an expensive unit broke down - you wouldn't be upset if your $15 Mr. Coffee broke every year. The law of averages is on your side - a 2nd Cuisinart will probably last longer.
