The littlew round screen goes in the hole where the hose attaches to the tank. The round foam filter goes up in the hole underneath the on/off valve for the foam. Here is a guide if you need any more help...

Kirby Ultimate Diamond Edition You can cal the Kirby factory to request a new owner’s manual and they will describe how to use the vacuum on hardwood floors. There is a felt piece as wide as the brushroll area that will clip on to the bottom of the revolving brush area so that you hard wood floors don’t get scratched. The Kirby head will dial off and the Kirby head will come off and the attachment hose will connect to the front of the Kirby and that is how you use the attachments. The best way to get a Kirby owner’s manual is to call the Kirby Factory and they should have older copies or @ least they can photocopy an older owner’s manual for you @ the address that I will provide for you. I believe that there is a special cuff with a hose attached in order to do the unclog of the drain. I personally have not seen this done but I know the exhaust / blower port on the Kirby serves as a blower. You may look for that hose cuff for that feature. Or , check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. I need to know how to use the attachments that came with the Kirby. I know how to use the shampoo/vacuum, but not the other attachments or the upholstery cleaner. Does anyone have any idea?
Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. 1st, you need to un-hook the lever @ the top of the Kirby head, dial off the belt from the Kirby Vacuum Head using the Kirby emblem in the front of the vacuum, that also serves as a hook/spoon to dial the belt off the fan pulley. Once you have removed the vacuum head you now hook up the attachment hose to use the attachments by locking the attachment hose to the top lever. All regular Kirby attachment will fix on the attachment hose end including the spin brush if you have one with your Kirby --- using the Kirby Shampoo spray the soiled area and use the spin brush to agitate the carpet and or upholstery, try not to use to much water. If you have a Kirby shampooer – use the recovery tank on the exhaust port of the Kirby (this means that the cloth/paper bag needs to come off and install the clear recovery tank.
