This code means on most ranges that the oven has got to hit. Try unplugging the range overnight. Tomorrow plug it back in. See if code has cleared. If if has great. However when you plug it back in and it shows a f2 you will need to call a service technician out to look at it. He or she should be able to give you a estimate for the new part. You my have a service charge if you decide not to get it fixed.
I hope this information helped. Have a blessed day!

Blanket flashes f2 when plugged in. I have plugged control into blanket and electrical outlet. It still flashes f2

Sometimes you have to unplug and re-plug the blanket multiple times. The control might reset itself. If that does not solve the problem, more than likely, you have a break in the heating element wire, or a control board issue. If you are proficient with an electrical tester, you can check continuity of the wire at the plug in. Depending on your model, you can also take a look inside the control for any broken solder connections, or loose wires. Otherwise, I'm afraid there is not much else to do.

Fix flashing f2

Unplug it, and wait 15 minutes. Then plug it back in. It should come on L. Let it sit another 15-20 minutes. You should be able to turn it up after that.

My Kenmore Model 91195371790 oven Preheat light comes on as soon as you turn oven on and then flashes f2

Over-temp condition due to either oven temperature sensor or ERC (electronic range control).
Testing should be done by a qualified tech to prevent risks to user.

Oven keeps beeping and flashing f2 on the front panel.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F2 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Flashing codes on electric range

you don't need a "professional" to solve this problem or even to order any parts. E1 -F2- = the keytail (connector ribbon) that plugs into the control board is not making good contact. first unplug your range and then remove the two screws on the underside of the back-splash controls panel to access the back of the control board. now simply cut a slip of heavy paper such as a business card to the width of the ribbon and slide it into the slot along with the ribbon connector. that will help press the contacts on the other side together snuggly. screw the back-splash back in place, plug in your range, and the problem will vanish. if the error ever returns, try pulling out the connector, cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, reinserting it into the slot and repeat above with the paper. good luck.

F2 code and consistent beeping with my Maytag Electric Wall Oven model CWE5800 or CWE4800

The F2 code indicates a stuck relay. You will have to replace the relay board. It may be a stand alone board or it may be part of the ERC Electronic Range Control. If you know how to check you won't have to call a tech.

F2 CODE BROILER ELEMENET WILL NOT TURN OFF

Either the relay on the control board is stuck and allowing power to the element or the element is shorted to ground.

F2 Oven overheats

jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
