Chris,
I am just trying to find an owners manual, but I can not find one anywhere. Your link did not work. Can you help with another link?

The clutch problem needs to be looked at by a serviceman or professional who can repair Dysons. Slipping belts are often a sign of being overused or with carpet/textures that have caused the beater bar extra tension. I suggest if this model means much to you to get it repaired.

Can’t replace a belt to a dyson dc14 all surfaces.
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You need to remove the bottom plate of the vacuum and then lift up the pulley side of the brushroll and then take off the old belt and install the new belt the replace the brushroll. Then take a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bend on the end and pull the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line. If you have a problem with the belt change then refer to your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Have a look at www.dysonmedic.com which has some very useful info on dismantling and repairing Dysons.
Although this site doesnt actually cover the DC14 yet, the DC14 is very similar to the DC07 so as regards dissassembling the machine, and replacing the clutch, my experience is that the DC07 info will enable you to do the job.

Hi there,
There are 2 belts on a Dyson DC14 if the Dyson has a clutch. If it has a clutch you have a knob on the machine that turns the brushbar on and off. Most of the DC14s have this.
You are far better replacing the whole clutch and its not really too har a job to do.

Once in a while when vacuuming, my Dyson will grab onto something it is not supposed to "swallow" such as the end of a curtain or a sock. It makes a terrible "I'm chokeing" noise so the first instinct is to grab the wayward item and yank it out of the roller brush area. I have found that this action causes the brush roller to stop spinning.
This has happened so many times I can't even count. I usualy just pop the vacuum into the car and bring it to BEST BUY, where I purchased it, let the Geek Squad keep it for about two weeks and I get it back in ACE #1 shape. This does not cost me anything at all except the experience of being without my vacuum for two weeks.
The Geek Squad says, "Something goes wrong in the clutch each time you pull an item out of the brush."
Does anyone know how to fix this problem at home instead of being with the vacuum for two weeks?
