Usually there is two power feeds to the elements,so one feed does two elements, you would need to check the wiring and probably a wire has come off

I have a smooth top kenmore oven model #92172300 when you use the oven it gets to the temperature but then its shuts the heat off i had heating element tested and its good please help

The thermostat controls the heating element. If it comes to temp you know the element is OK. The thermostat can be tested. or just replace it.

Early 1960's Frigidaire 24" Double wall oven not heating

Hello Chris Hammond, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided it sounds like a potential problem with your connector for your element within your Frigidaire wall oven. I would recommend reaching out to a professional technician for proper diagnosis repair to help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

The lower heating element broke in half, while I was waiting for the part we used the broil but the wires that attatch to the lower heating element touched the medel and their was a popping noise and now...

you may have blowen the fuse on one side of the power line . the burner's on top may still work . so replace the element that was bad and any wring that shorted and reset both fuses. so that 220 is present . and oven and top burners should be ok ..mm hope this helped . mm

Thermador SC301T heating elements not working (top and bottom). elements look fine, oven turns on but elements stay cold.... any help would be appreciated. thanks, Tony

Its the thermal safety switch. When it trips - it cuts any power from reaching BOTH elements. Open the oven door - at the top wehere the oven latch is - remove the long black panel. In the middle - on the right is a small cylindrical switch...push down on the top - in the very center...it will rest the switch (like a circuit breaker) and then reassemble. Just did it on mine (2nd time) and it fired right up. Good luck

Oven does not work, but the range top will?

Hi, Are both the bake and broil elements out?You will need to test the bake element first. Sometimes the element will have bubbles in it where it went bad. UNPLUG the range and remove the 2 screws holding the element in. With an OHM meter, check the element to see if it has continuity. If the test shows an open circuit, replace the element. If the test shows a closed circuit, there could be a bad wire connection, or a problem with the thermostat/clock assembly.
The clock assembly cost is around $100.00.
It might be a good idea to call a repaiarman out to be sure.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

My oven doesn't work but the broil and top section does. I remove the cover from the oven burner section and saw a glow.

Hi, Sounds like it might be the element. If you shut off the power to the oven and rmove the element some that you can test it. Check and see if the element has any bubbles formed on it like it has burned through. If it lookes ok, test continuity to make sure that it has not breaks in it. If I can help further, please let me know.

Thanks,Vic
