Just grap it and turn it to the left until it comes off the base also look on the base to make sure that it doesn't have a locking pin on it, if so pull pin the twist. Then open battery door and replace the 9v battery or if you have a hard wired one pull plug and plug in new one

SOURCE: Smoke alarm keeps bleeping

Hi,

Here are the steps:
Was this always like this? If not, change the batteries, clean it up. Consult the local fire dept. The help for free.

If that does not work, you will need to get it serviced/repaired.

SOURCE: how to stop dicon smoke alarm beeping

All smoke alarms beep if the battery is too low. Getting a used battery isn't good enough for smoke alarms. Even getting a new battery from a dollar store (a cheap no name brand import store) will not do... it has to be the newest and it has to be alkaline. once you put it in... press the button for 10 seconds... first you will hear it's own alarm then you will hear the others attached to it in the whole system chime in (if you have that type) the alarm will now sit quietly.

SOURCE: how can I change battery of smoke alarm model 1275?

If this is a Kidde 1275CA alarm, then grip the outside and turn it to release from mounting bracket, then on the underside is the battery housing to be slid off to replace!

My Kidde Model 1285 keeps chirping even after I changed the batteries, any ideas why?

Be sure you are using a well known brand battery. The store brands, in my my opinion generally are not quite up to par. Try this and see if the chirp will stop. Thanks for asking me.

Our hard wire smoke detector model i12060 just beeped really lound a few times and stopped, it glows green and flashes red every few minutes?

Change the 9V backup battery, with a new one.Push and hold the reset button for a minute or two for the alarm to to go off like about 30-40 sec. for the smoke detector to dectected the 9V backup battery power sourced. The green power LED light indicator will stop flashing also the beeping sounds too.

Kiddie fire alarm model I12060, beeps once every

This happened to me, my smoke detector started chipping so I changed the batteries. A few seconds later it started chirping again. The answer is in the way you put the batteries in. The smoke detector allows you to put the batteries in wrong and makes a slight connector. This slight connector tricks the detector into thinking the batteries are weak. Simply turn the batteries around so the fat connector of the battery touches the skinny connector of the device. Mine was, fat side on the right.
