Status is 'printing' but its not printing at all

I recently move my painter back to my computer. I plugged the painter in where its supposed to be. After several reboots, I tried to test it but nothing comes out. I look the status and it says 'printing' and pages '3/1'

I recently changed my ink cartilage, cleaned the painter, make sure the papers aren't jammed and it still doesn't work. It didn't even bothered to pick up a paper to paint.

The problem happened when I take the painter to another computer (because I don't know how to use painter sharing).

My computer is Windows Vista, thank you

Have you tried installing the original drivers that come from vendor in the box? this problem usually occurs when you have some driver issues.

Trying to print a picture from my dell computer. when i hit print on the computer printer does not print. what button do i push on the printer itself. when i go to view/print it just says to insert memory...

With the printer power on, unplug and then plug in the printer from/to the computer. This should force the printer to be reinstalled.
Check the printer status.
Click START>Control Panel>Devices and Printers>click on your printer. check the status for any error messages. On the printer status, delete all pending jobs. Once the printer status display shows that all pending jobs have been deleted, retry printing.
Let me know if printing is reestablished. Thanks.

You may have an incompatible version of that software. You might want to try an earlier version of essentials.

Print want print

If you recently purchased it, just put it back in the box and take it back to the store for a replacement. I wouldn't bother tryng to fix it if you can get a brand new one that works the way it's supposed to.

Printer is on but will not print. Brother HL-2140 laser printer. The print log status reads = Error - Sent to printer.

Hello ,

First, please make sure there is no error message displayed on the LCD screen of the printer

Now we will check the status of your printer in the printers menu in the control panel.
The printer’s status should be set to “ready”
If the printer is “paused” simply clear the print queue, right click on the printer and select “resume printing”.

If the printer says “offline”, follow these steps.
  1. Clear the printer queue
  2. Shut down the computer
  3. Unplug the USB cable from your computer and your printer
  4. Unplug the power cable from the printer and wait 15 seconds
  5. Plug the USB cable back into the printer and the computer.
  6. Plug the printer’s power cable back in.
  7. Turn your computer back on.

Your printer status should be back to ready now and you are able to print.

Thanks,

Pat

The green light is on(by the x), it makes a sound, but does nothing. Is something unplugged, etc? Worked perfectly before my "painter" came & moved the computer desk. He said he didn't touch any plugs....

Sounds like the USB cable is loose or came unattached. If he plugged it back into a different port you may even need to reinstall the driver. Make sure that it is plugged in, and that it is plugged in the same place you had it before.

If you don't know where it was before for sure, just remove and reinstall the printer from the driver software.

When i send a print nothing happens. I opened the lid to check for a jam. nothing. but when i closed it the screen on mu printer says carriage jam.....

Sounds like the "deadly embrace" problem...

Computer says to itself "waiting on printer status"
Printer says to itself "waiting on computer status"
Results....nothing.

Try this:
1. Shutdown (using the normal operating system shutdown) the computer.
2. Turn off and unplug both the computer AND the printer at the same time.
3. Plug the printer back in first (and if necessary, turn it on) THEN
4. Plug in the computer and allow it to start normally.

Now try a print.
Let me know if this works for you.
