Good luck finding the wiring diagrams for those factory u free. I am on here to give my technical expertise though and not do peoples extensive Google searching work for them.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f-2008-2014/892831-electrical-wiring-diagram.html

The information you are looking for is copyrighted therefore you are probably going to have to pay to get it. See the link. It is possible to find free copies of there stuff floating around out there but most of it is bogus sites. If you do a ridiculously extensive search I was able to find factory service manuals for my cars.

SOURCE: Need a Nak CD-45Z wiring harness, or diagram

Rob, I had the exact same problem, I kept searching on line and came upon Alex in Australia, he deals in Nakamichi products, and has the part (plug/wiring harness). He charges $55 for the part and $30 for express shipping.

Here's his email: [email protected]

I have also found a site with the Manual: http://www.nakremotes.com/default.htm
Click on "Model List" and look for your model, in the manual there's the wire color code for the pinout. I also have the pinout by wire color, no room to include, will send in another response.

[ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ] Looking @ pins in socket
[ 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 ] Naka CD45-Z deck
Note: The above diagram is done from the perspective of looking directly on to the connector pins. If you are having trouble figuring out which way is which, just use the ground wire, which is always black, as a reference for making sure you are doing the pins correctly.

2010. After mechanic replaced parking lights, why did Nav screen turn black with no reverse camera?

The camera is wired to the reverse switch and if it is not connected back up, it wont come on. Take it back and have them reconnect it.

I am installing after market stereo/wireless back up cam into a 2007 Dodge Dakota and wondering where to source power for cam receiver? All the instructions say are to connect to 12V source.

You should get an aftermarket installation harness for your new head unit, these are available at auto parts chains and Wal-Mart, online, etc. When you remove the stock stereo from your Dakota, itā€™ll have a plug or two that go to the truckā€™s wiring harness. The aftermarket wiring harness youā€™ll buy has identical ends so it plugs right in and the other end(s) will connect to the new stereoā€™s wiring that should be running out of the back of your new head unit. You can hook the BackUp Cameraā€™s Power Wire in with your Head Unitā€™s Red(+) Power Wire as thatā€™s a good spot since itā€™ll always have power when you need it to in that location. The BackUp Cameras usually have a ā€œtriggerā€ or ā€œactivationā€ wire that makes the camera come on and the Cameras Iā€™ve installed always hook to your reverse light circuit or the truckā€™s neutral safety switch, so itā€™ll come on and display the camera view on your head unitā€™s Screen when you put the vehicle in reverse. A google search will tell you where and what color the wire is for this, for the reverse lights or neutral safety switch(usually under dash or under the steering columnā€™s outer plastic cover between the steering wheel and the dash or instrument panel(speedometer, gauges, etc).

Definitely get the wiring harness for installing the aftermarket stereo, the only other way to do this is to make a big mess and you donā€™t want to do that since the harness is under $10.

So, no worries, this is simple and youā€™ll get it, just get the harness, and find out where the reverse light circuit is and wire the activation wire of the camera to it, maybe your camera only has one wire, if so thatā€™s where it goes and you can disregard what I said above about running it with your new head units wiring(the red (+) Power Wire).

Go to AutoZone or your parts store of choice and ask for a harness to install an aftermarket stereo in your Dakota, theyā€™ll hook you right up for a few dollars and youā€™ll be done in no time! Good Luck!

Can the Clarion NX500 fit perfectly in a 2010 Honda Pilot with a kit? If so, which kit(s)

Www.metraonline.com. simply choose your vehicle from the drop down menu and it gives you the parts you need. You need a kit and wiring harness. As for camera if your unit supports back up camera all you should need is the camera. It should have all wiring you need for it.

When I power up the unit, the camera is displayed immediately, the backup wire turns the screen off.

There's a wire in the head unit harness that's meant to be connected to the vehicle's reverse light wire. If you don't have a rear view camera, this wire should not be connected to anything.

Can I fit sat nav unit with reversing camera from 2012 prius into 2010 prius (the 2010 one had no sat nav from factory just ordinary cd unit, but the dash is same and dimensions are same

The 2010 car would probably not have the necessary wiring to make the 2012 system work. It would probably physically fit the car, buy would still need the camera and the wiring to connect the two.

Rear view camera

The unit uses a wire from the back of the head unit to connect to the vehicle wire that sends voltage to your reverse lights. If this wire isn't connected or isn't connected correctly, the head unit can't tell when your vehicle goes into reverse. Most installers don't bother with that wire if the unit isn't being installed with a back-up camera.
