The Samsung washer error code reads 4E and means problem with the water supply. Please check the water pressure, also check for blocked or kinked water supply hose. You can learn more about all Samsung washing machine error codes in this helpful article: https://www.justfixed.co.uk/samsung-washing-machine-error-codes/
E4 error is a pressure and temperature differential. Check the steam generator solenoid, steam generator water pump and water sensor in clean water reservoir. If any of these components are faulty then replace. If all ok refer to E2 error and check inner temperature sensor or check for steam leaks
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3-E4 in your range means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Error #4, You probably need to reset the phone by unplugging the main unit from the power source then plugging it back in abd re registering the handsets by setting them in the main cradle for about 10 seconds each. if this doesn't work try the manual if you have it still and see what E4 error means. Good Luck. Sometimes with electronics all you need to do when they wont work is unplug then and plug them back in while holding the power button on. This is amazing trick that no one wants anyone to know about. it works great on VCR's and DVD players.
Between phone calls to danby and my neighbor, we fixed this problem. My E4 was on the left (lower chamber). If you have one on the right it is the upper chamber. The E4 is a defrost sensor that can be ordered from Danby's distributor (call Danby for the one in your area). The part and shipping were around $30.
If your E4 is on the left...
- remove the top shelves
- open the cover inside the cooler above the digital read outs (the top unscrews)
- inside is were the repacement sensor plugs in
- replace the one with the long cord
- run the sensor down the back to the lower chamber
- replace all covers and parts
If the E4 is on the right...
- remove the top shelves
- look on the right hand wall for a black plastic grate, the sensor is under this grate
- replace the sensor (simple plug and play)
- replace the racks.
Please pass this on, it was a ***** to deal with Danby and I nearly trashed the cooler out of sheer frustration.
E4 means overfilled which in practice means there is water in the tray at the bottom of the machine. Lean the machine forwards and the water will drain out and clear the fault code. chances are it will fill up again so if it repeats the leak will need to be found.
E4 means return air sensor error, if the error cannot reset may be the return air sensor is out of range or defective. But if the sensor is ok you need to replace the control board itself. The reading of return air sensor is 8k to 10k ohms @ 25deg. C temperature.
