Don't listen to the idot that said to change your oil at 39 miles! If you only have 39 miles on your bike and your oil light is on it mean there is low oil pressure so you need more oil in it. Cause the only reason that light goes on is when theres not enough oil in it. Not because you need an oil change. Also the oil change should be done at least every 3,000 miles but I do mine at 2,500. Also When you change the oil for the first time, you want to change the Filter as well. Every oil change there after you dont have to change the filter every time, you can do it every other oil change if you choose to. And always fill it up to in between the lines of your sight glass. and always makesure that after you put oil in it you start it up and for about 30-60 seconds then shut off and let sit for about an hour and add oil as needed.

I have a gsxr-600 the postive of the batt. hit the frame hasn't ran right since and shuts off after about 3 miles and then you have to wait before it will start again

You have shorted something out. Possibly fried the ECM. Check all fuses, and wiring. If they are all good, then the ECM is probably fried...and time for another.

I have a 2001 Suzuki GSXR 600. It suddenly lost power while I was riding. I put a new battery in but after about 20 miles lights started going dim. Had someone tell me it is my alternator. Where is it at...

Bikes don't actually have alternators. The charging system on a bike has a generator and a regulator/rectifier. The generator might cost you a little bit but the regulator/rectifier won't cost a lot. Chances are one of those went bad which creates a large power draw and doesn't allow your battery to charge. Seems like it's a regular occurance with the K1's. I would suggest getting a repair manual and fixing it yourself. Might take you a day or two but it'll save you a lot in labor.

I just got a 07 gsxr 600. the guy brought it bran new but only put 1300 miles on it from then till now. i put new gas in it. but the problem is it idle funny, its not a constant sound. any suggestions?

Does it sound like it's slightly misfiring? There is an idle adjustment screw located just under the tank on the left side of the bike if you're sitting on it. Try turning it clockwise in small increments until t smooths out.

the only thing would be over filling the oil, or not waiting long enough for the new oil to settle down . wait an hour after oil change to start bike.

Not really a prob, just a poll really

I would suggest you stick with whatever oil the Suzuki dealer recommends. The bike is under warranty and you want to be CERTAIN it stays that way. Suzuki Motors Ltd., wants the bike to be reliable. They designed the motor and whatever they put in their motor is what you should put in your motor.

In all probability, 10w40 pennzoil, Mobil, or any other major brand will prove to be within warranty specifications.
