I have scanned all three, air/cable/QAM and still can find no cable channels.
I assume your channels are accessed by using a cable box. If this is the case, you are likely using an HDMI cable, not the TV tuner. Use the TV remote to switch to the correct HDMI input on the TV. If you are using a coax cable from the cable box (the twist on round tipped cable) and it still doesn't pick up channel 3 or 4, then I would contact the provider and tell them your cable line is not active and needs to be connected outside.

If you have not discarded your old conventional TV or can borrow one, I would connect it to the same signal source you are using with the Olevia.
If you get reception with the substitute set, then the Olevia is defective.
If you live in a metropolitan area, you could also try sticking a piece of copper wire into the input of the Olevia and selecting antenna input as the source from inside the Olevia's setup menu.
If you still get no signal indications (quality is not important for this), then the Olevia is defective.
I'm disappointed to see you having trouble with this set as we own one too.
Also disturbing is Olevia's current state; they are in bankruptcy so I would start complaining soon and loudly if you have satisfactorily identified the Olevia as the problem.

I don't know your exact model, but from your description, the set is still in the over-air mode. Check the setup menus for a setting for cable/air and set it to cable. Once that is done, the autoprogram should work. Many of the newer models will scan both options at in sequence, but not all. Let us know if that does not resolve the problem.

SOURCE: tv won't scan channels when connected to cable tv
Hello
The first thing is to try going in the tv's menu
It should be similar to this:
Menu>setup>channel setup
once you find something similar, run the channel setup and it should add in the channels
If that doesn't work, screw on the cable wire, unplug the tv for a good few minutes, then replug the tv and it should automatically scan
Hope this helps

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..
