Have you tested for power where the power cable attaches in the rear panel of the dryer ?

I don't know and don't know your dryer. some dryers have a safety pointer on the door so it will not run. it could be the switch the pointer pushes on. if pin is not quite touching safety switch, dryer will not turn on. be careful and don't by pass this switch. if you think this could be the problem - first try pushing on door to see if dryer runs. if not, you could use a thin stick to push in hole with door open. if it turns it has become loose and needs to be reinstalled. if it does not turn the switch should be checked with an electric test meter for continuity.

SOURCE: There is no power going

If there is power at the socket and if the plug fuse and the wire is intact then there will be power to the unit. The fault can be relative to the failure of the main program controller board / switch .
So use a multimeter to check the continuity of the plug to the main unit to confirm.
if so you might need to swap a board to confirm before ordering for one unless there is a minor fault on the board which can inpected with a simple test using the meter.
Thank you using Fixya.

SOURCE: dryer shorts out some of the electrics when its switched on!

The breaker in your breaker box is either weak and need to be replaced or the amps is too low. But from what you stated, you have had this dryer for awhile, so I'm assuming that its just a bad breaker. If the dryer still runs and doesn't have any issues when it dosn't pop the breaker, then this is what it is. Have an electrician come out and replace the breaker if you are not familiar with doing this.

Candy tumble dryer tripping electricity off. Can anybody help please? is there fault in tumble dryer or the wiring in the apartment ?

The breaker box in the unit may not have the rated breaker for your appliance. Most likely.

Have them check it out.

Candy Smart tumble dryer stops after 2 minutes!

Lots of ideas here. It is bound to be some type of thermal cut out. If the clothes are hot, it is the drum thermal cut out. If the clothes are only warm, it is the motor protecting itself from fire. When was the last time it was completely stripped and cleaned out?

Candy Dryer Not Switching On

If you really have 252 volts, you need to contact your electricity utility company. If you are in the UK (fuse in plug clue), you should have 225 to 230.

230 volts Although the normal voltage in the UK is 230 volts, it is not constant. The voltage at your property will vary due to the use of power and normal operation of the power supply network. Our network is designed to ensure that the voltage stays within the permitted tolerance or statutory limits.

Candy tumble drier, working fine then switched off no lights on , changed fuse and nothing still

So I want to understand you, you used the drier then turned it off, then you tried using it again but it wouldn't come on. if this is correct then, now you've changed the fuse still nothing. you should make sure there is electric power on the socket, also check the plug-in to see if any wire is loose. get back to me
