Never had a problem stereo played just fine until i lent out my car when i got it back it was clitching on and off than would turn on for under a minute and turn of saying amp error
Another possibility is that they might have cranked the volume up on it and blew one or more of your speakers. The voice coils could be rubbing and grounding out causing your issues.
Everything depends on the car stereo and amp setup that you have. That info is very important. Um without that it's just a shot in the dark. Possible stereo settings for amp were changed, amp failure, amp wiring fault or the good old it just doesn't feel like working.

The problem is in the power amplifier section. If you a preamp out connector you can troubleshoot using another power amp between that and the speakers but you may need a schematic to isolate to the components at fault. Bose is worth fixing and if you can remove it yourself you will save money by getting it to a bench technician, even a TV repair shop can fix it. Steve Medley

All you need is a high-low converter. you just hook up the speaker wires to it. It converts to rca jacks.

I also own a rx 330 and my car has the same error. This is a manufacture defect. Unfortunalely if your car is no longer under warranty the price to replace is approx $800. The cost for the radio is $650 and labor is $150. The lexus dealership will tell you that they won't fix it as they are unable to but they will order a new one. There are many other blogs regarding other lexus rx 330 owners who have experienced the same problem. I have been searching tirelessly to find a way to avoid paying the monies as my car is out of warranty. I have had no success. I wish you the best.

, the message you are getting is "amp guard". This is the mesage it will
display when a short in a speaker wire or speaker with low impedence is
hooked to the internal amp and sends it into protect mode, shutting
down the amplifier section while the rest of the unit continues to work.
