Check all your cables, i had the same problem and it ended up being a joystick with an exposed wire. i actually returned the first gamecube because of this but when the second one had the same problem i ended up searching on the net for answers. the gamecube shuts itself down as a safety feature so just double check all you cables, the problem joystick in my case was hardly noticeable so look closely, gluk!!

If the power shuts off during game play (even as much as 30 minutes after the system is turned on), then turns off and won't turn back on or the fan isn't working, the system needs repair.

Lg F6 wifi button in settings is faded and wont let me turn it on/off and it used to work fine and i dont know if i did something or wat. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you tried turning your phone completely off for ten minutes than turning it back on , this used to work with mine, also check your data usage. Sometimes when I used too much data this would happen. A clean screen can help too. Cheers

The Game Disc could not be read.

If you have not used the game disc successfully before and it is not scratched it could just be a bad cd and you should attempt to return it for a new one if possible. If it has worked previously you should see if anyone you know has a gamecube you could try it on and see if it works for them. One thing you could try to do is very carefully, take an ear cleaner and gently rub it over the small circular glass reader to clean away any minute residue. Some game discs are just more finicky than others. And as always with older game systems there is the tried and true technique of just turning the system off and on until it works.

Avatar: The Last Airbender game for Gamecube won't play all the way through?

Holy C! I had the same problem and even bought a new system cause I thought it was broken! Turns out that the games are defective and there is no way to fix them. Now you can pick up copies of this game at your local Dollar Store! (NO JOKE!)

Is it possible to play Wii games on the Gamecube simply by changing the disc reader and graphics card?

I don't think so. The Gamecube disk tray is specialized for Gamecube discs, which are pretty small compared to regular game discs. Also, the Nintendo Gamecube graphics are modeled by ATI. Maybe some hardcore modding to your Gamecube, and it could work, but I have no idea for sure. Im not sure anyone had ever accomplished this, so honestly, you're going to know what you're doing to accomplish this. I know I wouldn't.

My gamecube starts up disc spins fan comes on then before game starts it says an error has occured please switch off console and refer to manual? Is it beyond repair or can it be fixed it was fine one...

Well it might mean that either the disc's are dirty or scratched at a point were the console had troubles reading them or if it works fine on a different system it means that there is an internal issue with your console.

Try turning the key on for ten minutes, then turn it off,and back on,leave it for ten minutes, then turn it off,and back on for ten more minutes, then off,a total of 30 minutes, then try and start, this relearns the fob.

Game cube says error when turned on any ideas how to fix

  • An Error has occurred:
If you are getting the specific message, "An error has occurred. Turn the Power Off and check the Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for further instructions." This means there may be an internal problem with the system.
    1. Check Individual Game Disc problems or Multiple Game Disc problems (depending upon how many games exhibit the problem) to see if the cause of the message is a dirty or damaged disc.
    2. If the disc appears fine or works properly in another system, this means there is an internal problem with the system. A repair will need to be set up. Please use our convenient repair options.
Please contact Nintendo's Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
