How do I set the resolution on my Canon SD850?

The instructions for changing the resolution are on page 30 of the manual.
If the pictures are fuzzy, increasing the resolution won't help. The most likely causes of fuzzy pictures are as follows
1) Focus. Check to make sure the focus is on the subject. If something else in the picture is sharp while others are not, then the camera may have focused on the wrong subject.
2) Subject motion. If moving objects are fuzzier than stationary objects then you need to use a faster shutter speed (or flash).
3) Camera motion. Just because the camera is on a tripod doesn't mean it doesn't move. One philosophy says that if a tripod is light enough to be carried then it's not sturdy enough. For a compact camera like the SD850 that likely isn't the problem. However, you can still shake the camera when you press the shutter release button. Try setting the self-timer. This allows time for the vibrations to die down before snapping the picture.
In your particular case, I think we can assume that the subject isn't moving, so #2 doesn't apply. To assure proper focus, make sure the painting is flat and perpendicular to the lens axis. If the painting is tilted relative to the camera, then different parts of it will be at different distances and the camera won't be able to keep all of it in focus.
Also, make sure the front of the lens is clean.

My web cam 4tech is not clear

Is the audio not clear or the video not clear?.

If the camera is plugged in and installed correctly then you should be able to open up a web cam program like skype, gmail or messenger and test out the camera, as well as adjust the camera's settings.

If the camera lens does not have auto focus, see if you can move the camera lens around in both directions. Some cameras have this for manual focusing. If you cannot access the camera lens then it SHOULD have an auto focus feature.

Also, play around with the camera settings (brightness, focus, zoom, sharpness) to find the best combination of setting for your environment.

Older cameras dont have very good resolutions so don't expect a high quality image or frame rate.

My cam Canon SD40 just get a little blurred, how can i fix the resolution of this cam? is it in settings only?

This is not a problem with the camera's resolution.

Blurring can be caused by moving the camera during a shot, by poor focus, or by muck on the lens surface. Moving the camera is the most common.

Poor focus shouldn't happen with an autofocus digital camera, unless you are trying to take distance shots with the camera in macro mode. The lens would have to have grease or goo on it to affect focus, not just dust. You can check these things easily.

Try putting the camera on a tripod and see if shots taken that way are still blurred. If that fixes the problem, then you are not holding the camera still enough when shooting. Remember that digital cameras often have a slight delay between pressing the button and the picture being snapped, so train yourself to hold the camera still even after you press the shutter.

I'm having back focusing problems even after getting it back from the repair shop. This lens is my prime for all my studio & wedding shooting, any suggestions???

If the image quality is poor, check the lens to make sure it's clean . Learn how to focus or pre-focus your model of camera. Check the manual to see what resolutions your camera supports and make sure you know which one is selected. Higher resolutions give better pictures but take up more digital space. If using flash, make sure you're close enough to the subject.Sharpen photos on computer after downloading.

hope this helps you please do rate me on this issue

Can't change nikon 5700 to Hi resolution

Is the compact flash card full, or close to it? If you don't have another CF card, see if there is a bad pic you can delete. Or maybe 2. Hint: anything out of focus. ;)

TAKING PICTURE TO SLOW

Here are some tips to make your camera faster. 1- Decrease picture resolution when you do not need that much resolution. The highest resolution have a big load of data to write, taking some time. 2- Turn off flash when possible. Every flash unit needs some time to charge and this can be time consuming. 3- The camera can take some time autofocusing. Press halfway the shutter until the camera locks its focus, than press the shutter all the way. This will help you to take even better pictures. Good luck!

Cant get it right

Here's a couple things to try. It has an auto focus. This may require you to hold the camera's shutter button half way down to get the focus. Then press it all the way down to get the picture. Make sure the flash is working or that you have enough light. It's really hard to get a pic in the dark. Resolution may also be a problem. Resolution is how many pixels it takes to make a picture. Bump it up to the highest resolution on this cam. 2.11 Mega pixels If nothing else it will make prints look sharper. I hope this helps.
